Kingfisher is one of the larger two bedroom barn conversions on this countryside holiday complex close to the fabulous North Devon coast. Saunton Sands Farm Cottages are just over 1 mile from the beach at Saunton Sands, one of the UK’s best. The beach has a surf school, surf shop, café, gift shop, restaurant and bar.
The cottages are set in 12 acres with a stunning lake within the grounds, stocked with carp. If you wish to cast a rod that is fine, or you may simply want to take a relaxing stroll. The indoor activity complex includes heated indoor swimming pool and 6 seater hot tub. In addition to the pool, the kids will love all that is on offer to them, including an indoor play barn with table tennis, pool, table football and Wii games, an adventure play area with climbing fort, swings and play house. There is also a dedicated play area with toys for smaller children. Within the grounds are sheep and chickens and the area is a haven for wildlife including swans, wild ducks, kingfishers and barn owls.
Saunton Sands Farm Cottages lie within an idyllic rural setting nestling in a special part of North Devon, close to the located close to South West coastal footpath. In the nearby village of Braunton guests can pick up the Tarka Trail cycle path which follows the route of the old railway line along the coast.
Kingfisher is a larger two bedroomed single storey barn conversion with double aspect, breath-taking views over farmland to the impressive three mile expanse of sand dunes at Braunton Burrows, designated a unesco Biosphere Reserve. The parking area is conveniently located close by and the accommodation is on one level with a handy sitting out area just outside. Guests enter through a large porch area ideal for surfboard storage, shoes and coats. The main room is a spacious open plan living area with its own dining area, sitting room and fully fitted kitchen. Kingfisher has two bespoke sofas and soft furnishings plus wall mounted flatscreen TV and DVD. The fitted kitchen is well equipped and includes a washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, integrated double oven cooker with grill and ceramic hob and microwave. Kingfisher has electric heating and double glazing. A door leads through to the hallway, to the left a modern bathroom with spa bath and power shower over the bath, underfloor heating and heated towel rail. The door to the right leads into a spacious double bedroom and down the hallway is a triple room with bunk beds and a single, all tastefully furnished. Ideal for family holidays and close to all on-site facilities.
