The cheerful village of Braunton is home to the Museum of British Surfing and the tranquil Braunton Burrows, a large sand dune system and centrepiece of the UNESCO North Devon Biosphere Reserve. The stunning beaches of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are all within 8 miles, offering wide stretches of golden sand. To the north, the thriving resort of Ilfracombe (8 miles) features a wealth of great pubs, cafes and restaurants, with a bustling harbour offering boat trips out to the idyllic island of Lundy. Walkers can follow the South West Coast Path to Baggy Point (6.5 miles) and Morte Point (7.5 miles) or you can head north-west to the outskirts of the breathtaking Exmoor National Park (8.5 miles).

From the main living area, a door opens out onto an enclosed decked patio space with garden furniture, making a relaxing spot for a morning coffee or some al fresco dining. Parking is available for one car on the gravelled area in front of the cottage.
