What’s so great about pet friendly cottages in Cornwall?

Cornwall is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK and it’s easy to see why. There’s so much for you and your dog to enjoy, not least some incredible beaches such as Newquay, Penzance and Falmouth. Please be aware that dogs are only allowed on some beaches at various times in the year, so do check in advance.

Cornwall’s dramatic cliffs and rugged moorlands are also great places to take your dog, who will love to run around the wild landscape. Dogs are welcome to explore the many miles of outdoor paths at the Eden Project, and although they’re not allowed in the Biomes, there’s still plenty of room for them to enjoy a great day out.

A well as being blessed with some amazing outdoor landscapes, Cornwall also boasts more than its fair share of fascinating historic landmarks. Set on the rugged North Cornwall Coast, Tintagel Castle traces its origins back to the 12th century. This incredible attraction is definitely worth a visit, and dogs are welcome to tag along too, as long as they’re kept on a lead.

Often it’s not possible to enjoy a holiday with your dog, so when you get the chance it’s definitely worth lapping up! Choose pet friendly cottages in Cornwall and make sure your favourite furry friend doesn’t miss out on the action.

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property. From the first welcome to saying goodbye we were very pleased. Cleanliness top class everything you could need was there and if it wasn't owners made us feel we could ask with no problems. We all felt there was nothing too much trouble for them. We were made to feel this was our home for the three weeks we were there. At end of each week property was cleaned beds changed, so nice to come back to. We have never had this before so it was very much appreciated. We have placed a booking for next year and are already looking forward to going back, very happy relaxed enjoyable holiday we all loved it."

"This property is fantastic, it suits us as a family of four and our furry friend, the location is amazing. I recommend this property to all my friends who ask my advice about where to stay in cornwall. You’ve got the beach which is literally a 3 minute walk, the youth hostel at Treyarnon serves the loveliest food and so friendly, you have a local pub which is about 5 minute drive (the farmers arms in st merryn) which does The best carvery ever! This is the kind of location you want if you desire quietness and calm, it’s very traditional and isn’t at all commercialised which is ‘true cornwall’ for me. "

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage/farmhouse. It was so warm and cosy with a modern woodburner in the living room and a warm AGA in the kitchen. It is a very spacious house too so it was great for our family get together. The property is not the most modern so if you are looking for a more rustic/country feel this place is ideal. We loved waking up and going for walks in the country side. There is a footpath right by the property so it was ideal! It was also a great location as it was not too far from penzance for all your supplies. Overall we had a lovely stay, thank you!"

"On entering the cottage we were greeted with a very strong smell of damp.Should have been warned the electricity was on a KEY METER (£15 was on the key ) any more was chargeable at the local spa and was CASH only. The charge of £25 was levied for the dog which we thought to be rather high especially as I ended up cleaning up for some other dog in the garden.Dish washer didn't work and hadn't realised that there was no washing machine. The boiler stopped working but all credit to the manager he came out Sunday evening and fixed it."

"S81040 on the whole was very good but I think as far as equipment is concerned it lacked a little. No washing machine which I think is essential for a family, not enough large drinking glasses(we went&bought a couple) no barbecue as stated in amenities (we bought one),no garden umbrella(we bought&left) and parking an issue if more than one car.Saying all that we had a great time,Cottage v clean&comfy&is a good base for all the beautiful places to visit around the area."
