"We fell in love with the cottage the minute we walk through the door. Full of character and very homely and the Rayburn is simply brilliant as it kept the whole cottage warm and cosy during our stay as well as cooking the perfect fry-up for breakfast. An added surprise was the size of the garden, we ate there using the bench and our toddler loved running around and exploring the little 'Forrest' as he called it. Other reviews have mentioned being close to the road, but the cottage is set back behind a lay by and whilst there might be some road noise at night it's minimal and didn't disturb us at all. Landlady was lovely and provided home made Welsh Cakes on arrival and departure, making us feel very welcome. We spent 1 week here during which time we had days away at Cardigan, Whitesands and Folly Farm. The location was central to all of these and the main town of Haverwest is only 15 mins away to get stocked up for the weekly shop, whilst there's plenty of local shops/petrol stations for day to day items. We loved our little cottage in Wales and will be back!"

"We couldn’t recommend Birdsong cottage more highly; we had an absolutely wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave! It is a stylish, well-equipped and beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting; nestled away, the cottage’s name really couldn’t be more apt. We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome from the owners Sarah and Steve who were always on hand if we needed anything but who also respected our privacy too; the beautiful welcome box was a lovely extra touch too. The attention to detail in the cottage is first class and really does give a luxury feel to the stay. The local area is brimming with fantastic days out, so much so we couldn’t fit it all in. We enjoyed many wonderful days out walking and exploring the abundance of fantastic beaches which are so close by. The highlight of our holiday however, was always having such a beautiful base to return to after a busy day out and about, it really did feel like somewhere to call home for our stay and we’d go back in a heartbeat."

"First impression was that the cottage looked tired and the outside paintwork was not a bright as in the photos. It didn't get any better as you walked through the front door as there was a damp smell.I know it's a very old cottage but some decent air fresheners would have helped.Another more unpleasant smell appeared from time to time,it seemed to be after flushing the toilets. Some of the rugs need a clean or just removed, paint work pealing in places.A couple of odd things like the bedside lamp lead cannot reach the nearest socket and a lampshade missing, which I later found in the wardrobe, which itself had its backboard come away.Out side in the yard there was a constant dripping overflow pipe and the games room was just dingy. On a positive note the beds were comfortable enough and the location, two decent pubs nearby were very friendly and served very good food and a great view of the castle to wake up to.Overall this should be a fabulous cottage,it just needs some TLC."

"My Wife Myself and "Charley" our German Shepherd Dog stayed at "Knapp Cottage" in April, and it suited our needs well. We could literally walk out through the back gate of "Ivy Court Cottages" and into Llys Y Fran Country Park (which has an eight mile perimeter track, great for "Dog walking"). Gareth and Rosemarie were very welcoming , with "nothing being too much bother" for them. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, although a little on the "snug" side, fine for our situation, fine for two adults and two "rugrats", though any more than that would probably be "pushing the envelope". We made best use of the "Microwave" as we don't really "do" cooking on hols, so we didn't really investigate what was there or not, although if you're not "The Galloping Gourmet"(Google it if you're under 50!) then I'm sure there's enough for your needs. We initially booked for a week, but ended up staying for ten nights, so it can't have been that bad 'eh!"

"Stunning cottage in a stunning location! As a family of 5 plus 3 dogs this cottage was perfect for us, looking out of the window was a stunning view of Pembroke castle which you must visit. Take a short walk up to the main road and there are many local shops and places to eat. Tenby and broadhaven south Beach is a must to visit, soft sand and clear blue water is wonderful. The cottage was lovely with everything you could need (thank you for the bread, butter, milk and tea bags ) very thoughtful touch after a long drive. Cottage is lovely, warm and homely. Would definitely book at S21953 again..You do have your own private parking space at the cottage but alot of the time other vehicles (mainly the hairdressers on the corner) will park in the space or block you in, we used the traffic cones in the games when we went out to save the parking space. But don't let the parking matter put you off this is a great cottage in a fabulous location."
