Badger Lodge is praised for its superb location, stunning views, and peaceful environment. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living space, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The surrounding area offers scenic walks and local amenities. While some minor maintenance issues and comfort concerns are noted, the overall experience is cherished, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The lodge is generally found to be clean upon arrival, with a nice and tidy appearance. However, some guests noted mould in the showers and dirty slip mats, suggesting room for improvement in deep cleaning and attention to detail.
The location is consistently lauded for its terrific views and tranquillity. It offers easy access to scenic walks, local pubs, and is a short drive from necessary stores. The proximity to natural beauty and local attractions contributes to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Guests find the lodge comfortable overall, with adequate storage space and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests mention lumpy beds and issues with heating during bad weather, indicating that some aspects of comfort could be enhanced.
The lodge is well-equipped with a hot tub, barbecue, and fire pit, and guests enjoy the well-furnished deck. Nonetheless, reports of maintenance issues like a dripping drain pipe, loose bolts on furniture, and the need for sharper kitchen knives suggest that some facilities require attention.
While guests mention a lack of a welcome pack and the absence of basics like milk upon arrival, there is no consistent reference to gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

There is lots of birdlife, wildlife and a host of boats and yachts coming and going. For the more adventurous, 200 yards away is Rudders Boatyard where you can launch your own (or hired) paddle boards, kayaks, or a boat (prior notice required and fees may apply). Or for a more relaxing morning, enjoy a walk along the owner’s private cliff top walk which leads down to the estuary shoreline (the walk is not fenced and steep in places and can be slippery, care to be taken). The local pub and restaurant is a 15-minute walk away to enjoy a spot of lunch. Locally brewed ales and fresh seafood is always on the menu. The Pembrokeshire Coast footpath is also close by.

The outside area here really is superb, with a large, decked area with amazing views and gas barbecue leading to a lawned area with hot tub and new furniture (the hot tub ready morning after arrival as it is sanitised, emptied and refilled after each booking and needs to re heat. Please bring own towels for hot tub and outdoor use).
The historic town of Pembroke is a ten-minute drive away and made famous for its medieval castle and the birth of King Henry the VII. It is well worth the visit to step back in time and take in the glorious views around the mill pond and the town. Be sure to visit Barafundle Bay, one of the Europe’s most stunning beaches too. What a gem of a place! SUPERB location and views, very peaceful. Beautifully presented lodge. Helpful and swift response by owners to any queries.Nearby NT Stackpole Estate provided many opportunities for scenic walks and refreshments. St David's cathedral was well worth a visit too.Other happy days spent on the ample lodge deck, just chilling and enjoying the view, wildlife, BBQ and hot tub.Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we hope to return next year

Location is terrific, if a little unnerving if you look over the balustrade! Lodge looked nice and clean on entry, and most was, but closer inspection of the showers showed mould round shower tray, the slip mats were dirty. Comfortable size living space and kitchen area, kitchen knives could do with sharpening! Beds a bit lumpy, but storage space in bedrooms unusually adequate. There are lots of beautiful and interesting places round about.

Badger Lodge is a lovely location a beautiful view and very peaceful, the lodge is very comfortable, however on arrival there was no welcome pack which in itself is not a problem but there wasn’t even a pint of milk in the fridge and there are no shops near by, having said that we really enjoyed our stay
