"This is a lovely cottage amid rolling green hills and farmland so provides a great retreat. We wanted the quiet location and were happy to drive everywhere but if you want pubs or shops on the doorstep then you may find this cottage a little too remote. It's a large place for 2 people so plenty of room and the layout works really well. We have a 5 month old baby and she could sleep at the other end of the lounge without us disturbing her. The kitchen was really well equipped which isn't always the case with rental cottages and the general standard of decor, fixtures and fittings was excellent. The place was always warm with heated floors and thick curtains so the log fire was left unused despite it being very cold outside. Our only complaint was the wifi which has a really poor signal and there's unsurprisingly no 4G either. Once connected, it's very fast but the signal kept dropping out as it comes from the main house and has some very thick walls to penetrate. The hot water in the kitchen was also just a dribble and took 5 mins to run hot. We would still return though as the remote location is lovely and most attractions are around 30-40 mins away by car. If it weren't for our baby, we'd also have taken advantage of the lovely walks that start from the cottage so perfect for a walking based holiday."

"Lovely stay at S86386 in November 2018. The kitchen was well supplied, shower had a strong flow and the beds were comfy. Unfortunately we were not supplied with any wood for the wood burner, it is really needed - the one radiator in the living room isn't really capable of heating the room up. Once we got the burner going though it was very snug (local Morrisons, Tesco or B&Q have wood and kindling). The cottage is on a busy road but we couldn't hear any traffic from the cottage and it didn't disturb our sleep, only slight issue is if you don't reverse down the drive you have a bit of a nightmare reversing onto that road. Only major disappoint was the 'welcome pack', which was two teabags left on a tray with two coffee sachets & 4 longlife milks - I'm not really fussed if there is a pack or not but don't feel it should be advertised if that's all there is! Other than that very minor niggle, I would happily stay again. Very convenient location for Cheddar, Wells, Longleat Safari & Bath Park & Ride. Clarks village is also good for a mooch about with places to eat."

"The location of the property is excellent for visiting all tourist attractions in North Somerset...nowhere is more than a 30 minute drive (as long as you avoid the M5). The property itself could use an update in the majority of rooms. Only one of the 3 showers works to a standard worth getting wet for. The kitchen was my biggest bugbear. Why have a table which seats 12/14 people when the house can only sleep 8? The table is MASSIVE and takes up far too much of the room. The other issue I had, apart from the general cleanliness of the place (which was pretty abysmal), was the lack of a tumble drier. Personally, and I know that I'm not alone in this, I have not hung clothes out for more years than I care to remember. Fortunately the weather was good but there is no doubt that I didn't use the washing machine as often as I would have normally. The person who looked after the house and we saw more or less every day was very pleasant to deal with."

"We had a great time staying at S19633. The cottage was lovely and well presented. For what we wanted it ticked all the boxes. However you should be aware that this very much is in the middle of no where, very rural and next to several working farms! This does mean it was a little tricky to find on our first day. You are likely to be woken up early by farm noise and to get anywhere you will likely have to drive (along narrow roads). The nearest "amenity" was a pub about 1.5 miles away.If any of that is a problem, I would go else where. However if you want something out of the way and quiet (in the evening!) this place is perfect. The hostess was also lovely - she even made sure we could have a cup of tea and biscuit on our arrival!"

"First thoughts on arrival in a rain storm were what have we done...house was cold, tired and worn, no instructions and half the lights had blown....however we found the instructions next day . Caretaker was helpful and sun came out. From that point cottage was perfect despite needing freshning up and needing more showers. We had some lovely family meals, played badminton and had bbq in the lovely garden across the road and had lovely walks with the dog straight from the door. Worth a stay as long as you are aware its an old cottage with creaky floors, strange plumbing, etc but full of character. Wi fi can be hit and miss. By the end of tbe week we were all sorry to leave"
