"Wonderful quiet spot, simple smart lodgings with hospitable very helpful landlords family living next door in the converted old farmhouse.Wonderful scenes over the next by Dunkeswell civil Airfield. Glorious spot of quiet for autumnal mists and brightness .Only very minor feedback ideas to give to landlords in due course. Nothing of any real complaint at all. Def would book ...have! booked again. Only point for some light be that the lodge does not get so much sunlight coming into it, as others might...but one can get out into the spacious bright airy scenes Airfield area next door, ...There is however as my review number rating suggested a 45 minute walk to the nearest shop ..though one of the big supermarkets delivered happily to the lodge, no worry. ..and half an hour to bus stop, good enough service to Honiton or Taunton. And no footpaths around the lodge. But its goodness for me, is in its quiet remoteness, from roads and settlements.. ...very quiet spot bar the puttering of little aircraft taking off and landing from the Airfield ."

"It was a great location with nearly all the amenities you could require and the large shower was wonderful. Fantastic outdoor space with the bonus of a conservatory, useful when the wind was blowing outside. A good base to explore the surrounding area with lots of walks in the locality. However, for US the property would be 5 star if a larger fridge was provided as it was difficult to get all our food in refrigeration and there was only 2 of us! A freezer would also have been useful. A DVD player is a must in luxury accommodation although the quality of the TV was excellent. Finally it was very difficult to get any ventilation in the bedrooms at night as there were no opening windows - only patio doors - a security worry? The hamper was very welcome, however the contents could be less sugar based. Although we were warmly welcomed on arrival there was no one about to give feedback at the end of the rental. We appreciate this is a new property so hope these comments will prove helpful."

"A lovely cottage, very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine, and there was more than enough in the way of kitchen utensils. Was advised when we arrived the WiFi was a bit slow, but we never had problems with it.Amazing views, in a quiet location, nothing really within walking distance but lots to see and do within short car rides. On the downside, the sofa cushions had dog hairs on, and smells of dog, it really needs cleaning and deodorising, and the owners 2 dogs kept hanging around us when we were out on the private patio area, and 1 of them kept coming into the cottage by both the back and front doors, it would have been nicer if the areas were fenced off."

"We had a lovely time staying in Primrose Cottage. The location is fabulous, quiet and private, with lovely gardens, swimming pool, games room and tennis court, the owners were also very friendly, and helpful. There is a great village shop in Wheddon Cross, also with petrol pumps, and the local pub serves a fantastic carvery lunch. There are some great places to visit ie Dunster and Castle, Lynmouth, Selworthy, Porlock Weir, Exmoor and Lorna Doone Church and Farm shop and pub. We saw Exmoor ponies and a wild stag on the moors whilst passing Dunkary Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, and only a few miles from Wheddon Cross, a real bonus!"

"The advertising for this cottage was a little deceptive. There was little outside space for privacy, the surroundings were very dark and not really appropriate for sitting outside. The road leading to the cottage was a nightmare, full of potholes which deterred us for venturing out in the evenings which was a shame. The cottage was clean but with no information pack about the possibility of using a washing machine or iron, not good for a family. The cottage was clean but lacking in atmosphere as it was so dark. The owner was very pleasant but having a car being restored at all times during the car was not very relaxing."
