What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Newbridge To Rent.

"We were disappointed with the house, looked shabby, dirty curtains, threadbare carpet, marked flooring. The crockery was all different no two plates or dishes were the same also the cutlery was different, inadequate kitchen ware, we bought a loaf of bread from the local shop only to find there was no bread knife in the house to cut it! the picture to the property is also misleading it looks like your house is going to be next to the lake but its not, we were placed on the end of the driveway in to the development which is not shown on your website, which was noisy first thing in the morning 6am with people going to work. the only good thing I can say about the house is that the beds were very comfortable! Also it boasts restaurant & bar on site, restaurant was closed & the bar shut at 6.00pm.Everything considered this was very poor value for the money."

"This is a cosy and very well-equipped cottage adjoining the owners farmhouse. We bought basic household items on the way there but found everything we needed, down to kitchen towels already there. As reported by others, Eileen had left us a lovely tea of brack, homemade jam and scones. She and Thomas are very welcoming but not instrusive and very helpful with local hints - like the easiest way for a day trip to Dublin. The farmhouse isn’t the easiest place to find from the instructions but if you plug Graney into the SatNav, that will take you to the bottom of the road. Beware - there are lots of ’Ace Fencing’ signs around S24235 and we took the wrong one (several times). The views from the cottage are gorgeous and would have been even better in nice weather, but it didn’t really matter. A great holiday. May 2012. "

"Very pleasant, spacious accomodation with one bathroom per bedroom. Beautiful location with easy access to Dublin and Wicklow Mountains. Aldi & Dunnes supermarkets in town. Small swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool on site, along with restaurant. Need to wear swimming caps for pool (2 Euros each from Reception). On the down side - it would have been nice to have had more crockery and cutlery so we could make full use of dishwasher. WiFi very slow. A few things listed were not as we expected - we had a washing machine but not a drier, no outdoor furniture (others did) and not satelite T.V. Didn't try to resolve this though. Only given one key for accomodation for 6."

"It was diificult to find the place even though we had a post code . The cottage was tatty in ways : cobwebs everywhere : broken strings on the window blinds: no blind in bathroom or frosted glass: the owner passes by this window to his workshop. Didn’t open the curtains on patio door as it was looking out at a workshop yard which wasn’t very pleasing on the eye. There was a leak in the bathroom behind the toilet. I would advise anyone booking here to be sure of their dates as if they have to cancel : you will get no help from Sykes or the owner. We tried to come home a few days early and we were not accommodated in any way."

"The accommodation we were allocated was newly decorated but still left a lot to be desired. No plug or basin for sink. No bedside lamps in one room and one bulb between 4 in other rooms. Phone had no connection cord. Despite asking for all to be rectified twice nothing happened. When oven used for first time, brown grease ran from bottom of door to floor. Fridge door bottom seal covered in sticky muck preventing it closing until cleaned. Shower heads not cleaned. A TV so old that it had no remote control. Picture terrible. And that’s just part of my list. Don’t go there."
