The owner was friendly, checked we had plenty of logs for the fire. Would stay again .

Cosy log fire. We were shown around the farm which was very interesting, loved the fruit garden. Set in a beautiful area, and a lovely walk to the park was easily accessible down the lane and along the river. Would highly recommend.

Fab location and we enjoyed walking around the woodland. The sofa and chair were great, beds were comfy, towels were huge and soft and that's really the main thing, right? We managed to get wifi too - because I had to work - and John helped us with the TV (thanks for that!) If that is all you need - you can stop reading here! We just felt it had some deficiencies in equipment compared to where we've stayed before. Needed one more (flat) frying pan, some of the other pans had seen better days and it needed dishwasher tablets, for example. There was a kitchen roll dispenser but with no kitchen roll, which was odd, and no salt or pepper. Would have loved to be able to relax outside too given the weather! We didn't find a Visitors Book. We tend to rely on those for hints on where to go and where to eat. There was nothing about this in the folder of information either. Comms were great. Got settled in really quickly. We could have asked all these questions and more to the lovely owner and his daughter but, on holiday, we just want to get on with things ourselves. They were incredibly responsive, though, and that aspect definitely surpassed our expectations.
