    Brundall Holiday Cottages

On the north banks of the River Yare, opposite the Norfolk Broad of Surlingham, sits Brundall: a small village that packs a punch and takes full advantage of its riverside location. A stay at one of Brundall’s holiday cottages proves a picturesque stay with pubs dotted along the river and stunning sunrises and sunsets over the horizon.

Perhaps most famous for its boat-building businesses, Brundall provides several important services for tourists to the area and is responsible for a great deal of the craft sailing the Norfolk Broads. There are several marinas in the village for both private moorings and holiday boat hire, with many choosing to stay in Brundall holiday cottages before or after navigating a boat around the southern part of the Broads. RSPB Strumpshaw Fen sits nearby and is beautiful to stroll around. Or, for a more brain-stimulating activity, a visit to the Strumpshaw Steam Museum is a great way to spend a few hours. Brundall is home to a variety of clubs and societies, most of which operate out of the village’s Memorial Hall. Many of these are open to casual attendees: ideal for holidaymakers. Despite being small in size, you’ll find plenty of shops, and restaurants in the village, including the renowned Lavender House, run by Richard Hughes.

At Snaptrip, we’re proud to offer thousands of holiday cottages on our site – all covered by our best price guarantee. Need some help deciding on the perfect place? Our friendly customer service team are available to help you every step of the way.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Carla Ogden - Verified booking

Green Farm Barns is a beautiful accommodation, perfectly clean and everything is up to date and kept in good condition. Lisa the owner is attentive and helpful, she greeted us with a lovely welcome and was able to help advise us of the area. Throughout the holiday she was contactable if needed (we ask for a fan and one was delivered) and see to our needs. An absolutely amazing host. The welcome treats were a bonus, we had biscuits, chocolate, cakes, milk, butter, tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and jam- totally unexpected but very much appreciated. Loved how the kitchen table was laid out so quaint and lovely, plus all the decor within is just to my taste. The barn is amazing, I am a very fussy person when it comes to feeling at home and relaxed on holiday, would normally clean cuterly, cups, glasses, plates etc and bathrooms for my own peace of mind- I didn't do any of this, as I could see how spotless everything was- even the cleaning cupboard, washing machine and dishwasher smelt clean- no nasty smells or grime anywhere. The village of Surlingham is lovely, so any walks and 4 pubs with amazing food within 10 mins walking. Our favourite two being Coldham Hall and the waters edge. Original cottages were amazing to book through, there was a technical problem securing the booking and unfortunately the money did not transfer across- it was no problem for the team, once I contacted them they resolved the problem instantly. Every advisor I spoke to on the phone (and I did contact them 3 times- so I spoke to 3 different people) were lovely, they made me feel very at ease and spoke to me like a friend not a (robotic) customer- they were all so helpful and kind and soon put any concerns at ease. I would definitely recommend Original Cottages to friends and family and I will be using them again as looking at all their cottages they are all of the same high standards what a fantastic company. Thank you to all of you for being part of our amazing week away on the Norfolk Broads.

Interesting conversion of a small barn. Excellent cleanliness and equipped with all you need. Helpful guest information book provided. As in website description there is only one bathroom which is ensuite to the main bedroom, and no separate toilet. Very rural with small lanes to drive around in the area. The dual carriageway A47 has cut off some of the old lanes nearby so be aware of limited access junctions (especially if you use old maps rather than sat nav!) . Near to Norwich and The Broads.

'[1] The cottage was exactly as described and illustrated. everything you would expect and more. [2] The equipment was first class. [3] The only complaint we have. you never provided the best of weather, but someone told me that's not your department. Maybe you could have a word with that department ! [4] Would, and will, recommend the place to anyone who is interested in a perfect holiday cottage.

Super accomodation & very welcome scones on arrival, thank you. We enjoyed day trips to Southwold & Wells. Also had a nice trip around Wroxham & Salhouse Broads on a river boat trip from Wroxham. Super walks around the cottage with stop off at both pubs - Coldham Hall and Ferry Inn + a morning coffee + Portuguese pastry from the deli down the road. Hopefully we will be back to stay again. Thank you!

We had a lovely week at the converted stables. Surlingham is a good base, we visited Beccles, Wroxham, Stalham, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Potter Heigham. The stables is light and airy with plenty of parking and there is even a vineyard in the village. We bought some of their red wine to bring home. It should be noted that both of the holiday homes are on the perimeter of a working farm
