What our customers say about their holidays

It was an amazing stay at Corner Cottage in Port Gordon.

The cottage was definitely a home from home and so comfortable to stay in. Port Gordon itself does not have very much in it, a community café that runs a few days a week by volunteers and they were all just lovely. There is a Spar no pub, however Buckie is 2 mins in the car up the Road with a large Tesco and lots of stuff there. Beach is great and harbor for walks and enjoyed seeing the family of seals there. Great Access to all the Towns around spent time in Lossiemouth watching the jets which my son just loved. There is even a Car Charger out at the back of the house and we had an electric car so that was amazing. Thank you Tina the host who even returned my jumper I had left! HIGHLY RECROMMEND and we will definitely be back.

      A real Gem.

Tastefully modernised, decorated and furnished. Extremely well equipped. Comfortable. Good location. Dog friendly and with sea-side walks, a few metres from front door. Excellent communications and instructions from owners. WiFi, Television and heating systems are very good. We have booked a lot of self catering accommodation over many years - this ranks amongst the best. Owners have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into bringing this high quality cottage to the rental market. I would highly recommend, and book again. We were just a couple, and puppy. So had no need to even venture upstairs. Would be very comfortable for 4 and even six. You could book this property safely and not be disappointed.

We had a really lovely break at the cottage.

First few days had wild weather but it was fine as we knew we were heading back to a cosy house where we would be able to relax and get warm. Had everything we could need, bright airy bedrooms and comfy beds. Situation was excellent for visiting all the lovely villages along the coast and once the weather cheered up we had lovely evening walks to the harbour and to Bow Fiddle Rock. Plenty places round about for lunch, coffee and cake. Cullen was lovely for the gallery, antique shop and gift shops and once weather was fine we could walk to it. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Portknockie at the cottage and are planning to head back soon.

This is a beautifully furnished cosy cottage, we felt very at home there for the week.

Plenty of room for up to 6 to stay. The kitchen was well appointed and I really appreciated that there was plenty of storage space and a large fridge and freezer. Lovely bedding and soft cosy towels - a great touch The TV was a little hard to navigate and we did miss standard freeview style channels - but Netflix and smart TV apps are available and are easily navigable if that’s your thing. My only feedback would be that a full length mirror somewhere in the property would be useful. There’s nothing else that was missing though. Had a really lovely stay and would absolutely recommend, and would visit again.

Thank you so much for such a great stay in your lovely cottage.

We loved the location, the Moray Firth has so much to offer at all times of the year, and Portknockie has everything you need, convenience store, Chinese takeaway, fish & chip store as well as a pub. The cottage itself is warm and cosy and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can tell the owners take great pride in the property, communication was great and it was spotlessly clean. We’ve stayed in the area many times before and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely cottage. We hope we can return sometime soon. Thanks very much for a lovely stay!
