Base of shower door was grubby.
Paintwork very grubby/old. Considering price paid for 3 nights I felt poor in relation to a tatty small box with teabag/ coffee, mixed in with dishwasher tablets, very strange! Shower gel available in main bathroom but not in en-suite..why? No washing up liquid, hand soap or basics to tide one over. Simple things too like a clock in lounge that doesnât work, log burner with wood but no fire lighters. I own a holiday let in Bournemouth and have a basket with tea/coffee/chocolate/biscuits/bottled water etc for guests arrival (esp handy if arriving late at night). Supply 5 dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. I felt you are basing your price purely on location and hot tub, but the general standard of the mobile home I would say is not up to scratch by any means. I was writing to you this afternoon to inform you of all this but I have your form now! This is before holiday season gets going so not a good start. Kitchen drawer handle not fixed properly. Another point, you advertise the restaurant on site as being open for outside dining and takeaway. Having a stressful job I was looking forward to not driving for a few days. On arrival I was told the restaurant was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, we arrived Monday pm and were leaving Thursday So no good at all! This meant we had to go out in the car each day for meals we didnât intend to have this costing us a lot more money which was mis representation of the facilities at the property. This needs to be re checked and brought upto a really good standard if you want people to visit in the future.

We loved our cottage at Water's Edge, Stone Rush in Lanreath, Cornwall, where we stayed for 3 nights.
It had a lovely view over the lake and spacious living/dining area. The shower was great really powerful and the hot tub was in working order and easy to get into/out of. It is great for dogs too as it has a closed terrace, and there are some lovely walks around the area. I did ask for some advice on woodland walks in the reception and was recommended to go to Cardinham Woods just a 15/20 minute car drive away. We had a great walk with the dogs and some amazing wood land views. There are several walks you can do there, we did a 4.3km walk and it was moderate incline, but there are longer and shorter walks varying from easy to hard. So something to suit everyone and there is a café where you can get refreshments after your walk. Please do bare in mind that you have to pay for parking. We also visiting Polperro, Looe and Lantic Bay & Beach all within easy reach (by car). You will need a car to get around this area though. We had dinner onsite at the restaurant on our final evening and took the dogs with us which was no problem. The restaurant was so lovely furnished and cosy and the food was great as was the service. I would highly recommend this area for couples (with/without dogs) and families as long as you have a car and are happy to drive around and see the countryside and small villages. There is plenty to do and it is a stunning area. The only thing I could have asked for is better weather as it rained almost all the time when we were there, but it didn't stop us going out and about. Just bring waterproofs as lots of mud around.

I think it is important to point out that there is actually no available internet connection and very poor/no signal on mobile devices unless you are stood in or at The Old Mill reception.
The lodge was relatively clean but could have done with a spruce up. If you love budget IKEA, then you will love all the fixtures and fittings. The cushions on outside chairs had been left out and were actually green and mouldy. The decking and balustrade in a poor state of repair. Most functions worked on the hot tub although one didnât and if you adjusted several of the jets you would find they came off in your hand. Although this did give you something to do while relaxing trying to get them to stay back in. We did venture to the Reception. Was met by a very blunt and quite frankly rude lady, who seemed to work all week. If I pay for a bottle of beer, once she could be bothered to tell me what they sell I donât expect for what was left in the bottle to be thrown because it didnât fit in the glass! On another occasion ordering an Americano coffee I was greeted by whatâs that.......and why do people call drinks what they like....just ask for what it is. They have a proper coffee machine, I would expect them to know, as this is a very standard name for a black coffee. My partner an I never felt welcome at all, but she may like you as seemed to depend on who you were. The locations and layout are really nice of the lodges, not overlooked and very private.

Just arrived home from last minute family get away staying in the Mayflower lodge.
We literally booked the day we arrived and the whole process was great with no issues at all. We are a family of four and a dog, lodge was great for our needs, the only minor points I would note, two teenagers so small twin room but I guess that's typical of such lodges so didn't detract from my rating or enjoyment either, I also found the double bed springy but I think this must have been me as can't see this mentioned previously i marked comfort down only slightly, also the hot tub was great and lovely and hot on our arrival but it was small and there is no way all four of us would get in and be comfortable on a colder evening but we still enjoyed it and took it I turns, lol! Unlike previous comment no issues with the sliding shower screen, was able to take a shower no problem and it was a good hot and powerful shower. I would definitely recommend, location was great, enjoyed the lodge, wrap around decking, private hot tub area and importantly for us a gate so secure for the dog. Short walk to the lovely local bay and local pub on site, we had a meal one evening in the pub and spent a few hours in Whitby which was a short drive away one day. Lots of places to walk dog too around the lodge. Thank you for our stay!

Good points: 1/ Park setting excellent.
2/ Lodge setting excellent 2/ Excellent relaxing stay, barring the early wake up's due to light in the bedroom Things to Improve: 1/ The entire park is very badly lit up. Hardly any lights in the night time, if walking the dog. One or two solar lights might work on a certain evening / night. Can do with some fixed mains lightings on roads. 2/ The lodge itself is beautiful, but the choice of placing a the Velux in the bedroom not a good choice. Due to which you get the light in the bedroom so early in the morning. 3/ The windows are long & no way you can keep them open at night for some air on warm nights. 4/ Wooden blinds & netted curtains on the windows no good for summers when you are trying to sleep & so much light coming through the windows along with the velux from the roof. Can do with some thick curtains. 5/ The bathroom didnt need that long windows & the glass not being obscure, it doesn't feel very comfortable in the bathrooms while showering etc. Add to that some broken pieces from the blind, the condition can be bit more concerning. The points mentioned above could be specific to this lodge. Overall an excellent park & stay & would be even amazing with these few improvements to the park & the lodge!
