What our customers say about their holidays

    • Rajesh - Verified booking

This was our first family glamping Holiday and although it was only for two nights but it truly was a wonderful experience, especially for the kids.

The hosts, Nigel and Emma in particular, were both wonderful. Since this was our first such Holiday with kids, Nigel was very helpful over the phone to answer our queries prior to our trip and gave all the information that we required. Emma, once we reached was there to greet us and took us to our safari tent and explained what all we needed to do and where everything was. The toilet in the tent we were booked in was broken so we were moved into another safari tent and it was very clean, including the shower and toilet and everything was neatly laid out in the tent. Emma had also left us lovely fresh apple welcome drink and homemade lemon drizzle cake which was just scrumptious! Following morning we were shown around the farm, including milking of the cows and meeting the lovely grand parents who also help out on the farm too. This is a family run farm (three generation old), which is well looked after with all the family members helping out on the farm. In the tents there is no electricity, however, there is provision for hot water for both, shower and sink, via gas cylinder and solar panels. The tents do not have any fridge but a cooler box is provided and ice packs could be borrowed for free from their quaint little pantry where the guests can use the farm’s fridge & freezer to store any personal food items. In the pantry there is facility to charge all your gadgets and phones. On the all it was a great glamping experience and for us since this was our first time, 2 nights and 3 days, was just about good… however, the kids wanted to stay for one more day! Thank you so much Emma for hosting us and for the added bonus to give us some home grown lovely beet roots…

We had a 2 night stay here after a camping trip and was greeted by the lovely owners who showed us round.

Emma was brilliant with the children and directed them to the secret mud kitchen in the woods that was just beautiful. Theres lots for the children to do and play with. We were gifted some lemon cake and homemade juice which was absolutely yummy!!! The glamping tent was huge and comfortably slept all 5 of us whilst giving us lots of space within the main area of the tent. The cupboard bedroom was a real hit with my daughter. We had a hot tub which was super easy to get going (do this as soon as you can to be able to enjoy it as soon as you arrive). The grounds are just breathtaking as well as the peace and tranquility. We were offered to do the farm tour but my children decided to sleep in, so I embraced the opportunity to sit outside with a cuppa. The tent is so clean and tidy and felt like we were the first ones using it. The beds are really comfy and slept amazing.... we really wished we had stayed longer. Be prepared for absolute darkness at night, so an extra torch needs to be packed. We also took our gas stove for a quick brew in the morning rather than waiting for the stove to heat up which i would recommend taking.... also do remember to take slippers. We didn't do much exploring further out of the site as we were quite happy to explore the grounds and relax. We will definitely return if we are ever down south again. Thank you Aller Farm Camping x

      We love Aller Farm.

We have stayed here a few times now. The glamping safari tents are amazing, with very comfortable beds. The hosts are always lovely and helpful. The kids love the freedom to roam and checkout the chickens or the cows. There is plenty to do in this part of the country, so you won't get bored. This time it was fossil hunting, a visit to the donkey sanctuary and coffee in Honiton. The pub in Stockton is about 10 mins walk along the road. Probably shorter over the fields, but given the rain that does mean wellies are essential.

We had a fantastic stay at the farm.

The safari tent was gorgeous, so well equipped and very clean. The private hot tub was a real treat and we loved having the cows greet us each morning. Emma and Nigel were super friendly and helpful and gave us a tour of the milking parlour, the kids really enjoying having a go at milking! Although the log burner is great for cooking we also took a small gas stove so that we could still have a quick cup of tea without having to light a fire.

Brilliant safari tent, very spacious and well maintained with all the luxuries you could want.

Well stocked farm shop for those little bits you need in a hurry, or forget to pick up from town. Very quiet field, not overcrowded at all which adds to the peacefulness of the location. Hosts were also incredible! Were happy to show the children parts of the dairy farm, the calves and milking which really made a brilliant end to the holiday. Will definitely be back in the future.
