"I don't know what cottage the last reviewer was living in but unless there has been a serious clean up since April then I think they must be blind, for starters the directions to the site was spot on got there first time, secondly the name of the cottage Cheri two large signs one on the property and one on the gate so don't know how they could miss it. Now to the cottage this is one of if not the best cottages I have ever been in the booking with Sykes was simple and their staff were brillent they could not have done more if they had tried. The cottage it's self was beautiful very big even although it only had two bedrooms two bathrooms one en suite and another sofa bed in the living area, a very large secured fenced area around the cottage with a lovely patio on the front which get the sun from morning till night, there are some other cottages nearby that are a bit untidy but have nothing to do with Cheri and the price for July is fantastic I have been in far more expensive cottages which were not nearly as nice looking and very comfortable. And I can't praise the owners enough for a great four nights thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing that i could have a wee moan about was there was no tin opener but I am sure if the owners had known about it there would have been one there. Top Marks Five Stars"

"A lovely cottage that can sleep 9. It was booked for my 60th birthday and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and the location. Unfortunately the day we arrived the pool water was cold and the Hot Tub jets did not work. This was reported and someone came the next day to try and fix it but only managed to get one of the jets working. This was disappointing, however by the Monday the pool was lovely and warm. Unfortunately they were unable to get the Hot Tub to work fully. The owner, could not have been more helpful and gave us great ideas on the best places to eat and visit. This made sure we made the most of our time in the area. She also explained the problems she had been experiencing that was causing the problem with the heat in the pool and she also explained that she was looking to replace the Hot Tub.The setting was lovely and so quiet. The kids loved the pig that was in the field nearest to us and also the Shetland pony.We loved this place and will definitely be back. There are a number of cottages that sleep from 12 people to two people and we will probably book for the two of us in the future. Thanks Carole, apart from a couple of little problems we loved it."

"The Lodge was just as explained but what was excluded was that is located off the park dean site and located next to a derelict unused site and opposite a lived in home with a very old van semi attached / on the pitch there was also pitches with disused cars and busses with for sale signs. The lodge had no signage showing its name and directions not very clear drove round and round eventually escorted by park dean employee who thought he knew which one it was? Eating options very limited a bit isolated not sure if Park dean complex was worth paying the fee to use. Don’t get me wrong had a terrific weekend weather excellent but will not be going back and would not recommend friends to use this lodge."

"Stayed over Christmas and loved it. The pictures do not do this place justice. Carole Wilkinson who runs the cottages Was on hand and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage has every utensil, gadget you could need. Also stocked with games, DVDs and books. The view is stunning and our children loved the farm animals they saw every day. The hot tub was lovely and went down well with our whole party. The swimming pool was lovely warm and clean and the private time in the pool was a good idea. We all loved it so much that we are going to book to come back and would recommend to anyone considering."

"This is our second visit to Beckside and we enjoyed ourselves as much as the first time. Carol is an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. Beckside is listed as disabled accommodation and this is one cottage that definitely is very accessible. We could not ask for more from a cottage for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The pool is a fantastic addition to our holiday as we are both very keen swimmers. We are strange in that we feel the water is a little too warm but I guess others would see that as a plus!"
