"The Cottage is modern ,very clean , great for families and dog friendly too. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms luxurious. The location is great . A car will make accessing the area easier but if you don’t want to drive getting to Edinburgh and Glasgow by train is easy from Linlithgow train station a couple of miles away. The views from the Cottage are dramatic .Watching the weather come in both sunshine and rain is very atmospheric. All four cottages were booked out during our stay and still lots of privacy and tranquility. Our dog loved the little walk round the farm . It would have been useful to have a little map or sign to show us the way but we worked it out. The layout of the the Cottage is spacious and great care is given to make sure that the cottage is very comfortable and welcoming. This is our second stay at Paddockhall and the cottages are consistently of a high standard."

"We booked this cottage as my son and his fiancée live in Linlithgow and we needed a base to stay with our dog fudge. The cottage was a delight to stay in, very pretty and comfortable. Fudge enjoyed his morning walks down to canal every day. The canal is about a 15 minute stroll down a little path by the side of the cottages. Linlithgow itself is a lovely town, with plenty of shops to look around plus a sainsburys and Aldi. Linlithgow palace is a must to visit and we were able to take our dog with us too, we walked him round the loch before visiting the palace, which was lovely. We all enjoyed our stay at Burnside cottage and would love to visit again."

"This cottage is ideally suited to see all the tourist attractions of Central Scotland, Linlithgow has Mary queen of Scott’s birthplace, a canal, Stirling its Castle, Falkirk its wheel and the Kelpies and there are great links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The walks in either direction from the cottage along the canal are great, the massive Beecraigs Country Park is free and great for the dog. These great walks wore out our two year old sproodle (not an easy task). Great holiday , great value, thank you!"
