What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Rice - Verified booking

This is a fantastic property in the centre of a beautiful village in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Lovely views to the river and across to Orford Ness from the upstairs balcony, well equipped kitchen and hot tub. Perfect location for walks directly from the cottage, 2 minutes walk from the shop, bakers, butchers and pubs/restaurants. and also the castle. Also a short drive to plenty of other local sights such as Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh etc.. Was a lovely relaxing stay and would recommend.

Aspen house is a fantastic property in an amazing location. Beautifully furnished and very well equipped with a stunning south facing garden. Walking distance to three pubs and the fabulous Pump Street Bakery. Beautiful walks right on the doorstep and close to Snape and Aldeburgh. We had a brilliant holiday and will be booking again next year. A special thank you to the housekeeper who was very friendly and helpful.

We were very lucky to have amazing weather all week - we all agreed it was like staying in a luxury retreat. Already planning our next stay! The owners have provided every possible comfort including luxurious bed linen and use of the hot tub. Thank you!

This cottage is charming and situated in a picturesque village, making it a place I would certainly return to. However, I have a concern: if your dog sleeps in the bedroom with you, access to the premier room is not permitted. It's unclear if this policy was communicated clearly at the time of booking; perhaps "Dog Tolerant" would be a more accurate description than "Dog Friendly."

We loved the house and location and really enjoyed spending New Year with you. The lounge area with the fire was perfect for the family to all be together and we enjoyed using the hot tub. It was great we were able to get access earlier than the arrangement and would loved to visit again perhaps in the summer
