We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend at Stepwell.
The house is in a remote location with wonderful views and footpaths to explore the countryside. Having a covered hot tub was great as it meant we could use it whatever the weather. It rained all weekend but we were able to use the hot tub despite this. The house is well stocked with plenty of crockery and plastic glasses for use in hot tub. There was a selection of condiments such as cooking oil and spices to use which was helpful. The big fridge freezer was handy to store all our food and bottles and the freezer produces a supply of ice, which wouldâve been handy to know as we had lugged an ice machine with us. The house is a great social or family space with plenty of room for everyone. Bath towels are provided but individual hand towels would be helpful too. Would definitely recommend Stepwell.

The location was amazing. The amount of wildlife we saw from right outside the cottage was incredible. The cottage was comfortable, very roomy and felt really homely. The main shower leaked through the floor into the hallway downstairs. However Cotswolds Hideaways sent out a plumber the next working day and were very apologetic and kind throughout the process. Overall we would recommend the place as a quiet retreat!Other than having a couple of issues, we've had a wonderful time here. Its been fantastic being so surrounded by nature and seeing owls, deer,hares + birds of pray. Monster the cat was a lovely addition to our night time walks, we will miss his vocal welcome every time we exited the cottage! Overall a brilliant experience! ð

This house is in a very good position for touring some of the many Cotswold attractions without having to travel too far each day.
It is very well laid out in relation to rooms, bathrooms and facilities and is of a high standard. The household instructions were plentiful and clear, especially relating to the recycling. I found all that very useful. Ruskin House is on the High Street of a busy market town. It is slightly set back but there is some traffic noise even with the double glazing. In the attic room, there is one window which is single glazed ( I think an original window) which while it's quaint, does allow traffic noise to penetrate which I found disturbing, even though I actually live on a busy road so should be used to it! That said we did have a lovely time there.
