"My biggest disappointment is that this complex of about 14 or more barn extensions which have been newly built, have not been made accessible for disabled people. This made me quite sad in this day and age, it would not have cost anything for the access to have been ramped rather than building one step up into the accommodations as they have. Their response was it is not advertised as disabled friendly, which is quite hurtful to be alienated like this. Once you are in the building it would have been totally accessible then. Also outside there was no drop kerb to get from the accommodations to some of the facilities such as the laundry or the shared garden areas, which could have been easily done, especially at the step of the laundry which has now caused a water logged area directly into the laundry. A drop kerb could have meant that we could access the accommodation through the bedroom at least. Shame no consideration was given in the build for disabled people and young families. There were at least two of us wheelchair users in the complex at the time also families there with prams, who would have found the access valuable. The barn style accommodations were nice, fitted out with Ikea and rooms clean and spacious. Just the towels could have been cleaner. The grounds are being developed around the farm, there are peacocks that were very beautiful, but not so lovely when they are calling throughout the night and your getting little sleep. So if you are ill or need sleep something to consider. Was difficult to find the complex as no sign posts and had to knock on several doors etc. We were not sent an access code etc as gated entrance so stuck outside for a long time. Would stay there again. Nice play area for children on site. Dog charge expensive especially when you have two to pay for and they don't cause very much cleaning. It also states dogs free of charge but this is not the case once you book. The farm is elephant grass farming so not suitable to take your dogs in those fields, quite muddy. There is a normal field adjacent to the buildings."

"So much for the use of your lovely house for the weekend. We had a really super time. There was so much to do, we wished we could have had a week in order to properly take advantage of everything on offer! Up until today we were lucky with the weather and so were able to play lots of tennis, bounce, badminton etc etc and enjoy our bbq outside which was great, the children also swam endlessly in your wonderfully warm pool. Mihail and Monika were so helpful and kind and cooked our bbq beautifully on Sunday. The house was also immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived and the garden also looking lovely. We adored the chickens and particularly the ducks! The chef we found was fine but I'm not sure I'd recommend her - she isn't local as she comes from Thame, and although she travels all over the place I don't think it was ideal. I hope we left everything as we found it and thanks again for a wonderful venue in which to celebrate Dad's birthday."

"Disappointing .....We have stayed at many self catering holiday homes, our initial impression was that hospitality was not up to the normal standards. We recommend the owners review their welcoming....A bottle of wine, some local produce, bread, butter and sometimes we have had local jams.We got 2 slices of very tasty cake...good.....a few packets of tea coffee and drinking chocolate. Milk....And a bowl of fruit...that was it.No toiletries ...most unusual....Not a flower in the place....I also considered the tone of what to do before you leave a little condescending Plus I have never stayed anywhere I have had to strip the beds.I recommend our hosts do more homework and go and experience an excellent holiday rental. The paintwork particularly around the Windows needed attention. The entrance porch had not been swept for a long time...neither had the back porch.Apart from that it was fine...."

"Dartmouth House is great for a medium/large get together, particularly for those that appreciate a lot of character in a house. Last weekend I stayed with family and friends for our annual Halloween get-away, and we had a wonderful time. All the wonky floors & creaky doors really added some spooky atmosphere. The kids loved playing hide & seek, and the 'adults' enjoyed a spot of frisbee in the huge garden & board games in the dining room. The owners had even left some Halloween goodies (for the kids?) and there were some great spooky decorations on the veranda! On previous stays (this was my fourth time staying at Dartmouth House) the owners have left wine and chocolates! A really nice touch! As well as all this, Olney is a lovely quaint town, with plenty of decent shops for anything you might need during your stay!I can't wait to come back!"

"We are an extended family of six, including three adult children (16, 19, 22), parents (older than 22) and my mother (89) who had a brilliant week at Apple House. With 5 decent size / large bedrooms the house could easily and happily accommodated 10. What made the holiday outstanding were the amenities (great indoor pool, tennis court, trampoline, table tennis, gym etc. etc.) and the great welcome and support of the Beata and Laszlo, who live unobtrusively on-site and the tips from Richard (the owner) on places to go, take-aways, restaurants etc. Don't miss out on the canoeing (the nearby river was beautiful) or the quad biking. We have been lucky enough as a family to visit some great places in this country and abroad, but for the all round package this was "voted" the best, we have been to, by the family."
