    Lossiemouth Holiday Cottages

Originally the port for Elgin, Lossiemouth is a fishing town in Moray, Scotland. Spend your days wandering the golden sandy beaches and dunes. In the evening, soak up the atmosphere at one of the local cafes, bars or restaurants. On summer evenings, catch the sunset across the water and enjoy the exciting take-offs and low landings in and out of the nearby RAF base.

The views from Lossiemouth holiday cottages are stunning, looking down across the iconic Covesea Lighthouse, the Moray Golf Course, and of course, the River Lossie from which the town got its name. What our customers say about their holidays

    • John - Verified booking

      Spacious, clean & warm.

Slippers, dressing gowns & some toiletries were provided. There were some slight issues due to us being the first people in after the winter eg not enough crockery. However, those issues were quickly resolved. There were only 6 dining chairs when the property is for 8. This wasn't an issue for us. Presumably that could have also been resolved if needed. There was no internet access initially. Apparently if you book through Sykes it is free; if you book through caravan park it isn't. There wasn't a TV in each room as advertised. Also there was no smart TV; at least none that was working. There was a DVD player, although none was advertised. The snooker table went down well. Although in the middle of a caravan park, it was quiet. This may not be the case in high season. There was no file with tourist information & instruction manuals, which you would expect from Sykes. Good views from the upstairs sitting room.

Lovely comfy property, very clean, quiet estate.

Short walk to town centre. Designated parking space was very useful. There was a lot of kitchen equipment, meaning it was difficult to find enough storage space for our own food. It was good to have a large fridge/freezer. We couldn’t find information about bin collection day, but spotted when neighbours put theirs out. Couldn’t get washing machine to work as instructions incomplete, so rang owner to find out. We do not have sky at home, and there were no instructions. Took a couple of days to work out how to use the various remotes, but never managed to get tv in bedroom to work. Enjoyed our stay very much, loved visiting the coastal villages and lovely beaches. Enjoyed the lack of traffic, easy and free parking, and lots of loos! Elgin cathedral very interesting. Would like to explore more of this coastline.

      Excellent property.

Location was very good, quiet but within a 5 minute stroll to the amenities. Shops bars restaurants etc. 5 minute stroll to a lovely park - we travelled with a dog. Completely safe and enclosed garden with lovely rustic furniture. Cottage itself was immaculately clean, very well cared for and extremely well equipped. Cosy and warm. We wanted for absolutely nothing. Neighbours and locals very friendly. Although we didn't meet our hosts they made sure we had everything we needed, and were very welcoming and friendly. Elgin itself is a really interesting place with plenty of history. Further afield we found lovely coastal villages and hamlets. All in all one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in and we have been self catering for many years. Highly recommended.

Ok so it was a great property, very spacious well designed and comfortable.

Lovely and cool features, showers and bath amazing, some unique and interesting features. 5 star all over but there were some small maintenance issues needing checked. 2 toilet seats should be replaced - Orange bedroom en-suite & Utility WC. The kitchen tap needs tightened probably underneath and the panel under the oven fell off easily. The roof terrace didn't look safe and we didnt not try to access, though it was never good enough weather and there is a dead seagull on it. I would say the sofas in the area next to the kitchen were a little small (we are big people!!). A smart TV would be ideal somewhere, they are a little dated. We never worked out how to connect to the internal internet but we had decent 4g signal. Overall we loved the house. Cheers!

A cheeky wee holiday for me and Coll the Lurcher while my wife is away visiting family in Canada.

Property is very clean, comfortable and has everything you would need for your stay. Great location with the town centre, Cooper Park and Abbey all within a short walk. Plenty of on street parking outside the property. Elgin is a great base for exploring Moray. I've rented many holiday properties and the one thing that generally lets most of them down is the comfort of the matress (I'm usually glad to get home to have a good nights sleep!). This is not the case at Clyne Cottage, the matress was really good and I slept so well. Garden is great and is a sun trap even on the colder days. Plenty of seating and lovely friendly neighbours. I'll definately be back at some point, might even take my wife next time!
