Lovely big house in a great location.

The large garden with a stream running through was lovely & the hot tub was a treat after a day of walking with the dogs! 5 min drive to Killin, with a co-op & we can recommend the Falls of Dochart Inn & Courie Inn - but would book ahead! Beds were all comfortable and the kitchen well equipped but we had to do quite a lot of cleaning in the kitchen (& of the cutlery, etc) when we arrived, before we used it. Lots of storage, especially in ‘master’ bedroom The lounge and kitchen were both a squeeze for a group of 5 adults but we made it work! A different dining table (perhaps that folds when not all in use) and an extra couple of small chairs in the lounge would be ideal. The house could really benefit from some electric dehumidifiers or a change in the bedrooms to be able to open the windows as they are quite damp & you can see the damage it’s doing! A clothes airer would have been really handy as well as the tumble in the garage which we made use of. An info booklet on local walks, amenities, vets, history of the house would have been greatly appreciated. Regardless of the above, we had a great stay but with a few tweaks and some TLC this house could be PERFECT. Ps watch out for the Llamas over the road when you pull out the driveway ;-)

Beautiful house we had 16 people in our party with ages from 73 to 2 years and the house was equipped for everyone.

The house had everything we needed so cosy too for an old house. Situated well within the town too, lively and quiet did not hear a sound despite it being the run up to hogmanay. We all just felt so at home there best holiday home we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many all over the UK and abroad. This one is our favourite its a gem and the facilities are just what was needed for our large party. We would come back again the Town is lovely and the shops and people are so welcoming. The fireworks at the bridge on 31st were an added bonus and we only had a 5 minute walk to see them. The hottub was a bonus too the garden and parking was spot on too. We had a great stay and we have no bad things to say whatsoever to say. Lovely cosy home that we lived visiting and would go back to in the future. The management team and the owner Jimmy were so helpful that nothing was any trouble. Car charging point also an added luxury as one of our cars is electric. Everything has been thought of in this property with highest quality of furnishings and furniture. The beds were the best very comfortable everyone got a good sleep. The owner and his team do a brilliant job and this property should be awarded 10 out of 10 for every category.

This is the second time we have stayed and we feel there has been a decline in the cleanliness.

So many cobwebs ( we live in the country so know this is an issue) however when you are paying for a service the expectation is that it will be clean. We had to hoover on arrival as the floor hadn’t been cleaned, still bits on the floor, sweet under the chair in the snug room. Really disappointed in the time we had there due to partners health and having to leave. Your communication was great about boiler and filter. Think a booklet could be made including the info about water and other useful info because that didn’t happen to us last year either. Also couldn’t find clothes airer which had been there on previous year, would be helpful to dry clothes. Piece of decking is rotten on entrance to veranda- could cause an issue. Dirty pans in the cupboards, had to clean them all before we could use them. Next doors dog was constantly barking- again not inclined to animals as we have our own farm animals and brought our own dog with us but it was constant. Not sure if your cleaner has changed but drastic difference since last year which is really sad as it is a lovely place with amazing views. We still would come back as it’s perfect for a restful stay but would like to see major improvements in the cleanliness.

      Arrived with family.

We were all absolutely stunned by the location and after a walk around the surrounding beautiful garden to take in the scenery, we ventured inside. The house was gorgeous and immaculate! As it was a gift for my fathers birthday, we were delighted with the very thoughtful birthday greeting! Lounge with the log fire was ideal for chilling in the evening. Kitchen was large had everything you could need. Even the small tv room was somewhere for the young ones to go a play their Switch(other consoles are available) Upstairs the master was indeed beautiful and an extremely fitting rest point for the man of the moment. And where do I begin with the en-suite?? Bath was fabulous and the shower was incredible!! The other bedrooms were also extremely adequate and comfortable. Great sleeps all round! The hottub was the icing on the cake! An excellent addition to an already grand house and gardens. There was fantastic and quick communication with the owner, who we unfortunately never got to meet due to the COVID situation. Highly recommended for comfort, facilities and location 5*

We had a fantastic family stay for a week at Tayview.

Lovely house with everything we needed and a fab location. The wood fire pizza place a few mins walk away and village pubs/cafes were very handy and nice). Park 5 min walk away was a hit with the kids plus lots of outdoor activities within walking distance (kayaking on the loch, bike hire etc) and amazing hiking on the doorstep. The house itself is lovely with enclosed garden safe for the dog and kids. We loved the table football upstairs too! 4 and not 5 for comfort only because a few family members felt the mattresses were too firm but I thought they were comfy and slept very well! Could just do with some plastic Prosecco flutes for the hot tub and a few more of the pint ones re facilities. The wee dram and Prosecco on arrival gave us a lovely welcome. Despite the hot tub having some issues, Jimmy and Louis were quick to get engineers out and did what they could to get it up and running again before we left. Just bad luck that happened when we were there but worked perfectly again for our last day. Thank you!
