"The lodge itself is modern, well equipped, has a stunning view and lovely interior (although there is quite a strong pet smell in one of the bedrooms - just to warn non-pet people). We personally found the master bed far too soft - uncomfortably so- but that's a personal preference. It's lovely to have the wildlife (ducks, geese, rabbits, swans) literally on the doorstep although avoiding their droppings became a bit challenging! Not sure what could be done about this but it did get overwhelming and meant the kids couldn't play on the grass area outside the lodge which was unfortunate. We were warned when we arrived about some potential noise from the main pub/restaurant on site as this lodge is very close. It went quiet after 11pm on the Friday however, onthe Saturday night, the disco music was extremely loud and still pounding away after 1am. We text the owners who asked Site Security to ensure the pub doors were closed which did help. We were very anxious the noise would be as bad every night but went quiet around midnight on the Sunday - and Mon-Wed was blissfully quiet. Whilst the owner did say the centre might cause some noise, we felt unprepared for just how late, and how loud this would be which made for a couple of difficult nights settling young kids.We felt that the lodge was a fantastic place for a couple or singles to enjoy the pub and disco, hottub etc but for a young family we had expected a "relaxing" break as advertised. Late nights don't suit us but may suit others - we can't stress enough, the location and lodge are really lovely and would make a great holiday base for singles or older family. The owner was extremely helpful, and could not have been more kind and helpful. The swimming pool at the centre was fabulous if you can go early or late to avoid busy times. Food in the onsite restaurant was very average - we had an evening meal and s lunch there but neither were particularly nice. Plenty nice pubs around and the lodge itself is fantastic for self-catering. A big disappintment was having to pay £42 just to access the onsite restaurant/pool etc - you then also have to pay on top for individual activities such as mini golf, bingo, kids activities. Why charge an entry fee too, we're not sure! Just a few niggles and an honest review to help others decide if the park is right for them."

"A lovely cottage but very isolated which may not suit everyone. We enjoyed being able to walk along very quiet lanes where only a couple of cars passed each hour. The hamlet consists of only 12 properties ,four of which are holiday lets. The lane to the nearby village which has a pub but no shop was very uneven. The closest town was about 15 minutes away which had a supermarket and some places to eat.The upstairs bedroom does not have a door but has a staircase straight off the kitchen. This means people in this room were disturbed by others using the kitchen. The cottage was reasonably well equipped and clean.Unfortunately the dishwasher broke down on the second day and the owner was not able to get it replaced until after we left. This meant time was spent washing up rather than relaxing or going for an evening walk. The internet was really poor and some of our gadgets just couldn't connect at all,a downside to the countryside.Phone reception was good.A number of places to visit were within 30 to 50 minutes drive. If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track and prefer to cook rather than eat out then this would be ideal. At night there was not a sound other than the hoot of an owl."

"Fabulous find ! We stayed here over the New Year period, 4 adults, 2 children and 1 baby. The Cottage was immaculately clean and everything you could possibly need was provided including washing up liquid washing powder and dishwasher tablets all eco friendly :) The cottage was spacious and very well maintained, more than enough seating and comfortable furniture for us all and even comfier beds !! A cot and high hair were kindly provided for our use. A fabulous garden the size of a field which was fab for the boys to run around in and let off some steam ! The helpful owners allowed us to celebrate bringing in the New Year with Fireworks and also quickly replaced an iron for us that wasn't working. Quality bedding and towels were all provided for our use. There is quaint village pub opposite serving food and drinks and the children were welcome in there. The only thing that may be a problem to some is that you had to travel by car to a shop but it didn't matter to us as it was only a 10 minute drive. Over all we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home from home hide away and we would definitely return !"

"The cottage location is exactly as described, however there needs to be much more attention to detail. The pictures shown are old pictures and very deceiving. There were cobwebs on tables in every bedroom. The bath had to be cleaned before it could be used. The bulbs in many lamps were not working. Batteries in TV remotes - again not working! There is no opportunities for privacy at all as there are no locks on any doors. (Not even bathroom doors.) Everything feels like it has been done on a budget and the owners are constantly trying to save money. TV hanging from the wall was unstable and didn't look homely at all. Heating was locked to certain settings, so unless you want to get up after 8.30am and be in bed before 9pm you had no heating out of these times so it was cold. Contacted the owner prior to arrival to check directions etc, however as we hadn't booked direct he was extremely rude and didn't want to know and was very unhelpful. The caretaker also came across as been arrogant and unwelcoming. We have stayed in many cottages all over the UK over the last 15 years and this is the first one we have had to leave a bad review for."

"Nice accommodation. Very close to Horncastle and Woodhall Spa. RAF Coningsby also within a few miles for those aircraft enthusiasts. The cottage is in a very rural area and dead quiet at night. The only sound was that of an owl very close by. It was a treat to stand outside one clear night and see more stars than I have ever seen in England. No lighting to detract from the beautiful night sky. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and utensils. It’s much more spacious than it looks on the photos with a large lounge and kitchen/diner.The cottage owners are right there if needed but unobtrusive. Sara was there to greet us a few mins after we arrived and showed us around. The only tiny little grumble was the real difficulty of opening the key safe, if Sara had not been there fairly quickly after our arrival to get the key out we would have been stuck. I think they will fix that though."
