What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Dunn - Verified booking

The Stable is the smallest out of the 2 ajoined farm holiday lets in the villlage of Cheriton to the right of the church. 1 double bed and a pull out sofa bed. No dishwasher but no big deal but has a washing machine instead. Cheriton has 1 pub, The Britannia which was great, on our last night we went out for dinner, excellent food. The village has one shop doubling up as a Post Office. For a fleeting visit to a beach you get clobbered for 5 or 6 quid for parking. If you have a family this is worth it as an all day outing. Rhossilli beach car park: if you are a member of NTrust and have your membership card it is free to park just scan your card on the trariff meter. Be warned that Rhossilli beach is reached by flights of stairs to the beach so is not recommended for the infirm or disabled but the view from the car park is fantastic on a sunny day and so worth a visit but not if you have to pay out hard cash for half an hours fleeting visit..Seems to me that all roads that lead to beaches have a caravan park at the end, you can drive through but do not expect freebee parking - not too overly sure whether that is legal or not but it is what it is. Beware of the narrow roads so anyone in the throng of August traffic with a camper van you`ve just been warned. As for the Holiday let it was perfect.

The School House at Mulberry Hill offered us something rare: stillness. Not the kind that feels empty, but the kind that fills you up quietly, moment by moment. From the first step inside, we felt held. The cottage, with its thick stone walls and timeworn beams, seemed to exhale around us. Mornings began with tea by the bay window, watching the light shift over Three Cliffs Bay—sometimes soft and silver, sometimes bold and blue. We didn’t rush. We didn’t need to. The open-plan living space was just right for two. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the sofa became our evening nest after long walks along the Gower Way. The bedroom upstairs was a sunlit sanctuary, and the bath downstairs—deep and quiet—became a ritual after each day’s exploring. Outside, the garden felt like a secret. We spent golden hours in the gazebo, wrapped in blankets, watching the sky change. The path to the cliffs was just beyond the gate, and each walk felt like a gift—wildflowers underfoot, sea breeze in our lungs, and the kind of conversations that only happen when the world slows down. We came here to rest. We left restored. —Geoff & Mary Jane June 2025

We had a wonderful stay at the School House. The view from the bedroom was stunning. Sitting there with a coffee in the morning, rain or shine, was so relaxing. Peter and Sian were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation has everything you need, a well equipped kitchen, although the downstairs is a little on the narrowside particularly where the TV is. The beaches of 3 Cliffs and Oxwich were walkable from the property but parts of the walk back up for both was steep. However, well worth it as the beaches, particularly when the tide was out, were breathtaking. Rhossili/ Worms Head just a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit. The property is in a quiet location so very peaceful. Just be careful on the single track road approaching the property as we had to turn round a hit a concealed rock.

We choose this cottage for the peace and quiet and it didn't let us down just what we needed .There are enough walks and areas around locally for you to get steps in and then the quiet relaxation later. Our dog loved it too .The little bench up the small hill on the property was lovely to sit with a drink and admire the amazing views. The owners made us feel very welcome and you can get fresh eggs from them which are lovely and fresh you can hear the chickens that laid them .The pub is five minute walk away so was lovely on a evening to walk with our dog have a couple of drinks and walk back be careful as it does include walking on the road but not much traffic so all good .So glad we found you thank you

High standard of hygiene, even in drawers and cupboards, which are so often missed. Excellent shower pressures and a lovely deep bath! Equipment was generally good and a sharp set of knives are always a bonus. Beds and pillows super comfortable. We visit Oxwich at least twice a year (I am originally from Bishopston) and have always previously stayed in one of the various accommodation incarnations of the Oxwich Bay Hotel. We really wanted a change this year and were so pleased we did! Netherend is a far more affordable and comfortable option, particularly with our dogs and yet less than 5 minutes to the beach. Would definitely recommend this house and we would book again.
