      We had a lovely week at the cottage but a few t there were a few things we were not happy with / disappointed with . There were no locks on the shared bathroom doors which was difficult with 4 different families sharing . The bath toweld were a skimpy size and we could have done with a few extra towels for the whole week plus we only had 1 bath mat and there were 2 bathrooms. The amount of toilet rolls provided was minimal. I’d requested the super king bed to be made up as singles and had been told that that would be done but it wasn’t. 2 of the bedroom blinds need repairing as they cannot be opened , once closed. The general cleanliness was ok however in the single bedroom it was very dusty and the bin still had rubbish in it including pill packets and I began to wonder if the bedding had been changed after the previous occupant. Lastly the welcome letter needs updating as it talks about a welcome pack that includes 2 packets of locally sourced coffee and there was no such pack or items, only a few teabags on the window sill. These things did not spoil our enjoyment but I wanted to bring them to your attention or you will remain unaware .

      Having stayed at Lilac House a good many times in its previous guise, we were a little apprehensive but all that more evaporated on out arrival - it's the same place only much more comfortable and retains its former spirit. We've missed Overton in the last couple of years and have had a grand week walking the cliff paths, admiring the lambs on the way down to Overton, striding over to Horton and the younger members of our family walking to Rhossili. We've seen all sorts of birds, watched crabs emerge from the sand and seen foals on the cliff path. A special week. It's so lovely to return here, especially after such a year. We have loved Lilac House and to see it restored and renewed so sympathetically is wonderful,

      Four generations of the family have had a wonderful family week in your beautiful, comfortable and very well-equipped house. Our 16-week old baby enjoyed the quiet nights, lots to see and lovely walks in his carrier. Mum & Dad have enjoyed full night sleeps and the walks too. Two of us now live in Texas and became engaged on a walk at Rhossili and loved the surf and walks, We have enjoyed having all the family under one roof and visits from family in Vale of Glamorgan and to cousins in Cardigan. 94yr old Nannie has enjoyed watching the baby and found the house very accessible. We have all loved the beaches, the views, most of the footpaths and having such a comfortable space to be together. Thank you so much

      WOW, what a place!! Complete luxury! The cottage is fully equipped with everything you will need for a fantastic stay! A fully stocked games cupboard for the children, paints, pens and paper - lots. We enjoyed walking to the local beach, which is literally 10 minutes from the house - so awesome for dog walks. The welcome basket left for us was very much appreciated, thank you! We baked fresh bread in the bread machine. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we loved the downstairs shower. We found the cottage extremely clean and of a very high standard. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful holiday! We will be sure to return.

      Is Lilac House suitable for 3 generations of 8 people? Without a doubt it is! Lots of positive things to say - garden (with plenty of cooking apples!), summer house used as a painting studio, patio to eat out on (we managed it twice), extremely well-equipped kitchen and loads of utensils. All comfy beds and great heating system. Good showers, plenty of hot water. Decorations up to date and clean. Lots of storage. In other words - lots of good things here! We did beaches, a number of walks from the house and one meal at The Ship Inn. So, you can see we think the house is just great. It suited us down to the ground.
