What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr John Scholefield - Verified booking

The views from the property were superb and almost unbeatable. However the chalet was not fully cleaned, the bath in particular had been "missed" with black mould around the top and taps, and the floors were not clean. One of the screws in the carpet grip in the living room doorway was proud and could catch feet. The kitchen had a cooker hood which did not apparently work - it was needed as the hob tops were not clean, and the markings for the cooker controls have been almost completely removed by previous over cleaning and the oven had not been cleaned. The cutlery and crockery was not clean, with food debris on some. The controls for the hot water were rather "variable" and we could find no instructions. The bathroom basin cold tap was completely loose. The toilet seat was loose. One of the dining chairs was missing a fixing screw causing the seat to lift and trap my wife's finger. Some of the carpets were stained on our arrival. The kitchen window did not fully close at the hinge end, and appeared to have been forced at some stage. The situation with rubbish/recycling was not satisfactory, as there appeared to be waste collection in part of the street and the property had both green and black bin bags. The general information file was out of date, mentioning something "to be completed in 2005" and more up to date visitor information would be useful. We did enjoy our holiday, and the delay in this response is due to my mother-in-law being hospitalised with a broken pelvis!

We cut our break short my husband wanted to leave the moment we arrived but we stayed until the Thursday.

The cleaner was still there when we arrived at about 3.30 on Sunday the place is Friday change so expected it to be ready . There was lots of damp/dirt in the bathroom and twin room, found a wet dirty towel on the back of our bedroom door. Kitchen hot water tap had no pressure and no hot water maintenance man came and told us we had to boast the water heater. Lack of information about anything on the site or in the chalet , swimming pool was good grandson used it every day partly because there was nothing else to do , the key for the swimming pool area did not work so had to get someone from reception to let us in , they told us we weren’t the first person staying at 48 to have this problem it needs sorting. The overall holiday was very disappointing. The site entrance is rough looking the buildings are tired and badly maintained and the first impression is bad , the empty pub/ restaurant area is a shame to see and the was not great . The children park needs maintenance also some bits were dangerous . Some of the window catches are stuck closed so couldn’t open them in the case of a fire it would be dangerous. The shower knob was very hard to turn on and off husband had to turn it off because we couldn’t. The taps in bathroom sink need changing as they were very hard to turn too . Would not recommend staying here to anyone.

It was ok for a short cheap couple of days.

But, double bed was awful. I could feel every spring. Needs a proper clean in bathroom. Mouldy windows and round the toilet. Arrived in the dark, everything was pitch black, couldn't see any numbers - No directions to the bungalow - we drove round in the dark and I had to ask two people. We should have been told that the indoor pool was going to be closed for our stay when I booked it - not just an email a few weeks before. Paid extra to bring a (non shedding) dog but the place is absolutely tiny so paying so much for the apparent extra cleaning was ridiculous. Kids beds were comfortable and we appreciated all the blankets that were provided.

Such a well fitted and well located cottage. Five adults, two teens and a dog were all very happy in the cottage with plenty of room. The outdoor space was lovely for the dog and we used the ping pong table loads. Two beaches are easily accessed from the cottage by footpaths from the door, the dog child use both. The local pub was friendly and served good beer and food. I'd recommend this cottage and hope I have the opportunity to return

The view of the sea and lighthouse is wonderful. This property is in an excellent location for walking around the cliffs to Langland for upmarket coffee or lunch, then continuing to Caswell for seaside lunch. Also easy to access the path higher up over the cliffs. The frequent bus stop to Swansea is just across the road and it's a lovely walk around to Mumbles with all its restaurants and cafes.
