What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Charnley - Verified booking

We booked this property for seven female friends to celebrate several milestone birthdays. The cottage is perfectly located, just a minute's walk to beautiful Horton beach and a ten minute walk along the wooden pathway to Port Eynon, and The Ship which is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. We also visited Three Cliffs Bay, Rhossili , Oxwich, Caswell Bay and Mumbles and although the weather wasn't great, we didn't get wet! The cottage is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and has everything you need for your stay and it's very comfortable. The beds and bedlinen are super comfy and the bathrooms are excellent with good showers and there's also one bath. There's even a shower in the garden, but sadly, the weather wasn't good enough for us to try this one ! Plenty of space to prepare meals and sit around the kitchen table, and when the sun shines, around the table on the patio. We had a great stay - thank you!

    • Mr Patterson - Verified booking

On arrival the cleanliness was sloppy, there was food debris in the kitchen drawers, rusty kitchen utensils, dust on the fridge and cobwebs in the lounge, this should have been spotless prior to arrival, I didn't make this known at the time as I really didn't want anyone in cleaning having after driven 9 hours. Property location is brilliant for Mumbles, Limeslade and Bracelet Bays. The spot allocated for parking which was meant to be at the rear of the property adjacent to the wall, someone else had parked there for the duration of our visit. This property is not a cosy cottage if this is what you're looking for, it is a fairly new build property with no character on a residential estate. Not happy also with the 'damage deposit', either pay £250 refundable if no damage, or £25 deposit waiver, the latter just feels as if it is a stealthy way to charge more as not everyone can afford the £250.

    • Mr Mark Burbridge - Verified booking

We enjoyed the holiday, however the standard of cleaning was inconsistent. The bedrooms were good, the bedding excellent. Unfortunately the kitchen appeared to have only been surface-wiped. There were marks on the table-cloth, the plate rack was very dirty (we cleaned it), drawers, cupboard doors and freezer drawers needed deeper cleaning. The cooker was good. In the bathroom we had to be careful because we found a deep crack in the toilet seat; we reported this when we left. The bathroom wastebin didn't contain a liner and was dirty. On inspection it appeared that someone had spat some rice in there; we disinfected this and cleaned with boiling water. For your information we reported that the lounge door lock was broken; had the door been shut we would have been locked inside! We removed the lock and left with note for the cleaners to find.

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage, probably one of the vest we've ever stayed in. We really enjoyed our week here. The upstairs sitting room would be a real bonus for a family of four if children wanted their own space. We enjoyed sitting up there on a rainy morning playing a few games, the natural light is very good for reading too. Just check the size of your vehicle against the size of their garage. Extra parking is limited and our vehicle was too big. We did manage though. If you know the Mumbles you will know the road outside is very busy, however the cottage is in a good location for walking into the village for the many lovely shops and restaurants of Mumbles.

    • Mr Quittek - Verified booking

Large and comfortable property with perfect bay view. The large property is well equipped and clean. The bay is just on the other side of Mumbles road, so the view from the living room and the larger bed room is perfect. Different to a property we had before the windows have double glazing, which blocks out road noise if required. But the position in the beginning of the village will be quieter anyway. Also it's close to Joe's Ice Cream, which is important. A big plus point is the spacious garage. Most properties in Mumbles do not have a private parking and especially during summer holidays it will be difficult and expensive to park in public areas.
