"Lovely light airy open plan eco house.Practical things which could be acted on to make it even better - 1 Toilets didn't flush properly. Water constantly trickling through so took hours to refill after use. Awkward when whole party trying to leave together. Please sort the toilets out!2 Recycling instructions - there were none, which for an eco pod which makes much of its green credentials is poor. There was one green wheely bin - no information about whether this was for glass and cans, or paper and cardboard, or all together, and whether waste should be presented separated out or commingled. No food waste bin at all. Where does the residual waste go? When are collections? No excuse for an eco pod not providing recycling instructions.3 Provide better quality loo roll. The starter set of one roll per bathroom provided was one ply which is cheap, and the eco pods are not. If it's recycled then say so. If not then splash out on the sort of quality people usually buy at home. 4 The children were uncomfortable about sitting on the balcony because of the peacock poo. Could this be cleaned up more often? The boats - the pedals don't work well on the pedalled, put us off this year."

"Took us 15 minutes to work the key lock in the dark. A lovely property but needs some maintenance and tlc. Kitchen cupboards and drawers filthy, washing machine handle comes off in your hand so unable to use it, one of chair backs at dining table very loose. Very dangerous, particularly if an elderly person sat on it. Dishwasher needed salting but we didn't expect to have to bring our own salt! Hundreds of cups and plates etc which takes up so much space that no room for our own food. Freezer desperately needs defrosting. Bathroom needs vent when shower on as mound growing all over. Top of tap in bathroom come off, no bath mat or hand towels. Drawer handles missing, pillows very stained and dirty (they are cheap enough to buy!) cushions in lounge desperately need washing and the settee could do with good clean. These are all minor things and lack of basic maintenance so hopefully the owners will get onto this as it would be a real shame if left unattended and prevents people coming as its a lovely property and perfect location with stunning views when you open curtains in morning"

"Lodge itself is lovely and well appointed. The location however is something that isn't great, no signage to show where lodges were, the road that should have a 5mph speed limit was not adhered to by one farm vehicle or any vehicle visiting doggy day care and you can't move about the farm due to health and safety restrictions. If you have little ones be careful getting in and out of the car as it's open to the busy road, and main bedroom looks onto the cattery. Now to the good bit inside very new and modern, lovely kitchen appliances but no washing up liquid or things to wash up with. If a group are staying best you know each other really well as bathroom nearly in living room. Outside a lovely decked area with table and chairs and a wooded garden but not totally safe for little dogs due to fence as they can escape. With all the land on the farm if they relocated it it would be more private and quieter."

"We had a lovely four day break at Holmlea. The cottage is ideal for families and is very well equipped. I was disappointed to not have condiments available after all salt and vinegar are essential for a seaside holiday. We did have some issues with the heating and the bathroom light but the Owner was very helpful and responded to our problems in a timely manner. If you are not a confident driver/parker this cottage may not be for you as the parking at the front of the property is not the easiest and the road is narrow. The area/street are lovely and quiet and there is a sea view from the upstairs bedroom. The local amenities were great and you can't beat all day parking on Brid seafront was very cheap, you can even redeem your parking against sessions at the leisure centre. We will definitely be back when more of the tourist attractions open from Easter."

"A very clean, comfortable and well equiped lodge on a small, quiet park. I was a little taken aback initially by just how small the park was, literally 3 lodges and 1 tourer caravan, but it wasnt actually a problem as long as you realise you're not really in walking distance for a newspaper, a pint of milk or possibly more importantly a pub! Nevertheless it is conveniently located for Pocklington and York. I had one slightly negative comment. I had originally booked for 2 adults and one child (aged 15). As it turned out it was only one adult and child and while the lodge was spacious and well equiped, there was only a sofa in the living area and i just felt that 3 of us sitting together on the sofa each night, might have been a little too cosy. However i would definitely go back to Sandy Lodge."
