"We enjoyed our stay at the Stables. The owners were very helpful and friendly. They allowed our dog to walk/run in the field adjacent to their home which we appreciated. It is a nice homely cottage. The kitchen and diner are spacious. The lounge is nice - but the sofas and chairs could do with replacing as the seats have lost their oomph and are not very comfortable as well as being very low. The cottage was very clean and we had a good choice of kitchen equipment to use. However, a better clothes horse (more sturdy) or a retractable washing line would be useful as not everything can be dried in the washer dryer.I should explain that the cottage is situated next door to the owners house. The cottage has a small expanse of grass and table and chairs plus parking space in front of it. Beyond that is a large piece of grass where we were able to play with our dog.Our dog also played with their dog which was rather nice. Just be aware the gate to the properties is normally open for access so you need to supervise your dog. Very little traffic uses the lane but the odd vehicle does pass at speed. No major complaints or problems during our stay. We slept well and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cottage is tucked away down a single track lane. The cottage was initially hard to find as a road sign was broken. Even the Asda delivery struggled to find us. Not the owners fault I might add.The only other thing that could have improved our stay related the velux window in the double bedroom - it only opened a few centimetres but closed again quickly and as it was really warm during our stay my parents found the room quite stuffy. Fortunately the window in the hall opened wide which helped improve things. But despite these minor issues we enjoyed our stay very much."

"The positives are that the house is big, the fire is fantastic and is very well equipped for large groups, in fact it was probably had some of the largest cooking pans we had ever had in a rented house. It was lovely and warm due to the fire and the main barn are was very sympathetically done and was a great space to eat and socialise. The rooms were comfortable although the beds were simple doubles, a shame as the bedrooms are large and bigger beds would make such a difference. We did have an issue but it was resolved by the Estate manager that day which was vey good. There were a few negatives but nothing that would prevent us from returning. The main issue is the water pressure in the showers which was very poor - everyone had to take it in turns which for a large group was not ideal. Also not every bathroom had a shower and as most people prefer them, bathrooms with them, had to be used my multiple people. The actual design of the house is a little awkward in terms of flow. Due to fact that the cars were generally parked at the back in the courtyard space, when entering the leaving the house the doors into the kitchen were used as the main doors. All the space to keep muddy and in our case, wet boots and jackets however was located by the front door on the other side of the kitchen. A small thing that was just annoying. The sink leaked and the dishwasher stopped working but a plumber was sent out and fixed them on the same day. We did however have a great time despite the weather"

"As soon as we walked in to Seafarers we were amazed by how spacious and homely it felt. The living room is huge and has a large open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, large fridge and a freezer with a microwave as well. There is a large dining room with a table that seats 10; this room also has a working open fire. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and a washing machine. There is a lovely conservatory that looks out into a large garden. Through the doors it leads to the annexe which has a twin room and en-suite bathroom with a very good shower. Upstairs there is a very large family bathroom and one en-suite bedroom and two other good sized bedrooms one had a double and a single bed and the other was a twin room. We went for Christmas so it was cold but there was a heater that gave out a lot of heat. We took two young children as well as a baby with us and the fact that there was so much room was really good for when someone wanted time out in a quiet space! It is an amazing place to stay with a group of family or friends."

"My group thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Windy Mundy Farm, there were just a few issues: there was no hot water or heating in the annex the first morning this was resolved very quickly, we would have found two dishwashers more useful than two washing machines, the bathroom arrangements were a bit of a problem as three had to share the jack and jill bathroom including the person on the mezzanine up the spiral staircase, whilst this is probably ok for family groups for mature adult singletons it is an issue, this would be helped if there was a cloakroom/loo on the ground floor. The mezzanine bedroom is rather inaccessible added to which we could hear rats/mice/squirrels in the rafters! The addition of a shower in the annex bathroom would be useful rather than the shower for the sauna which is rather exposed! We loved the setting and the barn is a beautiful conversation, it suited our requirements and was a great base for our garden visits. I would certainly recommend it to others."

"Although generally clean in bedrooms and bathrooms, the cleanliness in the kitchen let the property down. The bins smelt, many of the items in the kitchen cupboards needed to be cleaned before they could be used, and the freezer was dirty and had left over food in it. We booked the property because we wanted 6 bedrooms, three for small children. The bedroom on the ground floor was not suitable for a small child as it was accessed from the lounge and had no curtain over the glass door into the lounge. It would have been helpful to know this at the time of booking. The garden was lovely and the property was spacious and worked well for an extended family holiday - grandparents, parents and children - and for that reason we would book it again. I am sure if the owner is made aware of the issues described above they can be easily remedied."
