What our customers are saying about our Christmas Cottages In England To Rent.

"The cottage made a good central point to visit the area. It was clean, nicely presented, and quite comfortable. The people around about were very friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few things that prevented the cottage from feel like that special place you would want to come back to. Delabole has a good pub, a Spar and a Fish and Chip shop, but otherwise perhaps isn't as charming as many of the surrounding villages. The drive is very tight, rough and quite difficult to turn into and shared with other houses. Parking is very limitted at the cottage and on the road. Outside the cottage looked a little untidy and un-cared for. The grass was very long and full of weeds making it difficult to use the outside space. Unfortunately inside the dishwasher was not working and during our stay the boiler broke down so we had no hot water, although that was fixed pretty quickly by the house manager, Ian. Basically, it did not feel as nice a place to stay as other cottages we have rented, although clearly the area around is very popular."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waitby School. It was absolutely fantastic for the holiday that we wanted. Went with our daughter son in law and grandson of 14 years old. The cottage ( mansion) was lovely, everything our grandson asked for. Very spacious, comfortable, loads of cd’s to watch on the surround system. Each evening we played cards, games etc. Lit the log fire and it was what you imagine a family holiday to be like. It was as the brochure says away from anything that could disturb you, just cows and sheep in the fields at the side of you. Each window had a different view, the hills, and sky were to die for. Also we were lucky enough to have clear night sky’s, the stars were out of this world. Didn’t realise how many stars there are out at night, when you have no street lights. Absolutely amazing! Thank you."

"Had a most enjoyable family get-together. (4 adults, 2 oldies, 3 kids 4,7 &9). Property is at the end of a farm track from a small village, so no pub or corner shop within walking distance, but supermarket 15 mins drive away. Lovely location great for walks (hilly) and bramble gathering. Cows and horses in surrounding fields provide interest. Baby pheasants everywhere.Property has been renovated, but now slightly run-down, which makes it more relaxing. Decent accommodation. Plumbing worked after initial problem with hot water solved. Good dining room and kitchen. TV and WiFi all ok. Good garden with tables for eating outside, but pity grass was not cut until day 4. Hostess responded effectively to any little problems raised. Would repeat."

"On the first night we reported that approx half the electric sockets were not working. The owners responded by coming around within 30 mins but were unable to fix it that night and said they would return the next day but they never did, or did not keep us informed, so we had to buy an extension lead to operate our child monitor in one of the bedrooms. We found cooking utensils had mould on them. The family concluded that although the farmhouse is in a beautiful area with beautiful views and suited us (3 famalies, 8 persons) we would not return until the owners sorted out their maintenance issues. Hence we found that it was overpriced for what we got."

"A lovely cottage. The setting is beautiful with the cotswold way just a short walk up the hill. The house had so many rooms, toys were provided which our 3.5 year old loved and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped as were the utility room. There were dead flies all around the house when we arrived which were easily hovered up. Only one of the showers was warm so that meant 10 of us using that. Again just a small inconvenience. The size of the house and the location made up dor it. Also the owners were incredibly helpful and came round when we had problems."
