We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cottage that truly exceeded my expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the picturesque surroundings approaching the cottage and the warm, inviting atmosphere of the cottage made it feel like a home away from home. The cottage itself is beautifully appointed, seamlessly blending traditional charm with modern comforts. The decor strikes a perfect balance between rustic elegance and practicality. The living room, with its cozy fireplace, invites you to curl up with a good book or enjoy a movie night after a day of hiking. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals with fresh, local ingredients from nearby markets. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, adorned with soft linens and cozy throws. Waking up in such a serene environment was a luxury, and each morning felt like a refreshing retreat. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They had thoughtfully prepared a welcome basket filled with slippers for the hot tub and robes to wear, they also had treats for the dog in a jar with his name on it which was a delightful touch. The level of detail and care put into the stay truly made a difference. Overall, our experience at this beautiful cottage near the Peak District was nothing short of magical. Whether youâre looking to escape for a romantic getaway, or a solo retreat, this cottage has it all. I cannot recommend it highly enough â itâs a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and adventure. We left feeling recharged and inspired, already planning our next visit!

Wow! What a find this was.
The cottage was spotless and the owners clearly care about making sure that you have a real home from home experience. Normally there is one thing that you had hoped could have been better. In this case there really wasnât anything the owners could have done as they were one step ahead of us. The hot tub finished off a long day of walking with endless towels of good quality may I add, the shower was lush! The cottage comes with everything you need to whip up a meal including a fab oven. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, warm and we never wanted to leave, the bed was comfy and large and for once a cottage that has a plug near a mirror ohhh and a dressing table. Everything was just superb and the hosts were ace! You have two donkeys snuggles and Humphrey and also Leo the cat! I literally cried because I didnât want to go home, the first time after a holiday that this had happened. We were super impressed with the welcome gifts, dressing gowns for you to use whilst you stay and slippers( we took our own though) if you havenât guessed we loved it, and we will be back. All of the reviews earlier guests have left all mirror mine. You will not be disappointed by this cottage it is the best cottage in the Peaks. Thank you Christina and Austin for our amazing stay we look forward to our next stay with you x

What a beautiful place!
We had an amazing time at Cherry Tree, the cottage itself is stunning, very spacious with a real homey feel. The hot tub is one of the best weâve seen, private due to being partly-enclosed and waking up to the views started the day off perfectly. We visited the red lion pub, a stoneâs throw away and that too was decorated to a very high standard, so cosy and welcoming. Hardwick Hall National Trust was really interesting, the stories from the volunteers were fascinating. Chatsworth Estate is well worth a visit too, even in the winter. And lastly Bakewell town centre, so quaint and lovely for a little stroll and some lunch. So many places to see, and we didnât get to see half of them. I would definitely recommend Cherry Tree, it has everything you would want for a luxury stay as well as a great location. Thanks Andy and Clare for your hospitality x

Absolutely loved our stay at cherry tree cottage, we were staying with our toddler and there were some toys and crayons left which was handy.
The cottage was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch, very festive. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we might need as well as essentials like salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee tea etc, there was also enough dishwasher tablets for our stay which is good as usually there is only one supplied. The hosts even supplied plastic cups/dishes/plates and cutlery for our little one. The cottage itself is very lovely and has been done to a high spec, everything looked brand new. My only point to note is that the property is directly on an A road which we didnât realise when booking and the gate was not secure enough for our dog as she is only small and could get underneath so we had to careful. It was fine though we just made sure she was always on the lead even in the garden. Will be returning next year! :)

An Absolute Dream of a Cottage.
Weâve just had the most relaxing holiday at Cherry Tree Cottage. The cottage is furnished to an extremely high standard and is just so lovely! Everything and anything you could possibly need or wish for is provided. On arrival we briefly met Andy the owner who greeted us warmly, and once entering the cottage we noticed refreshments had been left for us, milk, juice, bottled water and home made scones with a dish of butter and jars of jam, a welcome and lovely gesture. The hot tub was fabulous, we purposely went in it late afternoons as it started to get dark and the view was breathtaking and listening to the wildlife, owls in particular was just wonderful. We would definitely like to return and recommend Cherry Tree Cottage 100%.
