"We had a wonderful stay in the Long Barn. The guys running it were so helpful, and quick to sort out taxis and research local addresses. The local area was gorgeous. The Cotswolds are gorgeous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Long Barn itself was stunning, spacious and well-equipped. Unlike many other holiday homes, the place felt as though it had been decorated and stocked with actual people's needs in mind. The kitchen had an impressive array of saucepans and general dining requirements, although an extra frying pan would have been good. The sitting room was spacious, but somehow also cosy. The bedrooms were lovely. The ensuite in the main bedroom didn't have a door, which was a bit awkward. But the decor in all of the rooms was charming, and we loved so many of the little decorative touches. The only major flaw at the Long Barn was the location. The village is just South of the property, and we had thought that we would be able to walk to the village and enjoy the local pub and see the idyllic houses. However, the gates that led through to the village were permanently locked. One can walk north, then east, and then south, but the journey is much longer that way, and more inconvenient. We understood that this was for security, but it was a shame to have the village so close, but so far. Perhaps future visitors could have access to the village arranged in advance?Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you very much."

"We have stayed at a number of cottages in the Cotswolds over many years. La Caleche is the only place we have stayed on three occasions. We keep returning because it is an ideal cottage and location to stay and see the area. The owners are very helpful and friendly and cant do enough for you. During this visit I noticed that some changes had been made to the second bedroom to enable the wardrobe to be in the bedroom rather than on the landing outside. It adds an extra level of convenience and improvement. We keep returning to La Caleche for its location and the comfort of the cottage itself. We like the large living/kitchen area and the garden outside when the weather is nice. For our family gatherings this is an ideal place to stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I'm sure we will be returning next year!"

"The Old Byre is a wonderful holiday property! We met for a family gathering to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday - 3 double rooms and one single was perfect for our needs. It is beautifully decorated and furnished throughout - including lovely little curtains for the dormer windows. The big kitchen is lovely; well equipped and very spacious, the sitting room is homely and comfy and the garden is beautiful. We had a couple of BBQs but were a bit anxious lest someone fell off the terrace as its quite a high step.A couple of things to mention:The twin room really could do with some hooks for hanging clothes - and a mirror! The hot tap in the bathroom needed attention and noticed that this had been flagged up by previous visitors.Thank you for the welcome wine and goodies!"

"The cottage was amazing with good views and lovely decor. In our party we had 6 adults and one two year old. There was plenty of space for everyone and the playroom was a real hit with my grandson. Although there were a couple of niggly things we would all go back and would recommend to family and friends. The kitchen was very well equipped but could do with some nicer wine glasses and tumblers and maybe a butter dish. Loved the american style fridge/freezer. The lounge area has really comfortable seating that you can curl up on but would have liked another chair. Bedrooms were great and the beds comfortable.Everyone really enjoyed the cottage and we would all definitely go again. One of the nicest cottages we have visited."

"Clean and comfortable, Old Byre was lovely place to stay for our son's wedding at nearby Cripp's Barn. There is plenty of space in both the kitchen and living room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There is a pretty garden with plenty of evening sunshine. However, I was rather disappointed to find that the main bedroom had nowhere to hang clothes despite there being plenty of room for a wardrobe. Otherwise it was very well equipped. There seems to be a problem with woodlice - quite a few of them crawling about in most rooms."
