"First the positives; you absolutely can not fault the location and views for this property. A text from the owner about a week before with excellent directions (and even a handy tip about the tour de Yorkshire) was greatly received. On arrival we found lovely welcome gifts of Bubbles and cake in the fridge. Beautifully spacious house with ample room for everyone. Well stocked cupboards of crockery, pots and pans etc left us wanting for nothing. Brilliant outdoor entertaining area (which we made the absolutely most of thanks to the fantastic weather). There aren’t really any negatives but if I was going to make any suggestions to make this a 10 out of 10 property they would be; a new bbq on the patio area would be a fab addition especially when the weather is as fab as we had it, being a pet friendly property (which is awesome) it might be worth securing the patio area to prevent young woofers wandering toward the lane (ultimately it is the responsibility of the doggies owner but it would be great peace of mind), a patio heater or fire pit might be a nice addition for cooler evenings. As I say these are not criticisms at all just observations and we would absolutely be happy to stay here again. (Stayed 5-7th May)"

"Booked for a New Year break, hoping for peace and quiet in the countryside. We were suitably impressed! A beautiful cottage that truly was a 'home from home'. The wonderful owner had thought of everything and we couldn't think of a single thing we were left wanting for! The kitchen was well equipped, there were books and DVD's galore, the bedding was crisp and fresh and the towels were plentiful. The lovely 'welcome hamper' was a delightful surprise. Perfectly situated, with great local amenities and plenty of things to do if you venture out of the immediate vicinity (I would highly recommend the steam train on the Worth Valley Railway!). If you are currently looking at a number of properties for your get away - look no further, just book Branwell - you won't be disappointed!"

"This is such a cosy home from home with some very thoughtful added extras. It has everything you could possibly need and is in a fantastic location. If you have any mobility issues it is probably not for you (steep cobbles and entry steps), but it's so central to everything in Hebden Bridge with its numerous places to eat and lots of shops to browse. We walked to Gibson's Mill at Hardcastle Crags in about an hour and a half and if you head up the cobbles and turn left there is a good little circuit you can walk. The garden is a lovely place to sit - fab for a sunny breakfast. Young children would need very careful supervision in the garden as it's very steep but this is a true gem of a cottage and I would love to return."

"We enjoyed a week break in Lee cottage. Very spacious yet homely feel to the cottage, which was ideal following a day of exploring the local area. The cottage is ideally situated and just a short walk away from Hebdon Bridge with its numerous restaurants and pubs. The cottage has 3 decent sized bedrooms upstairs and a single bedroom downstairs just off the kitchen area. A good sized bathroom with jacuzzi bath with was a treat after a day of paint-balling! The master bedroom also has a well equipped en-suite.Beautiful view to the rear of the cottage and a large garden which gets the sun well into the afternoon, even in April. We had a fabulous stay at Lee cottage and look forward to returning soon."

"Smashing place for a weekend of challenging walks! Very well suited for walkers (2 legged or 4 pawed) - ample boot/coats area, utility and wooden floors! We were a party of eight adults so the accommodation was full! We cooked three dinners and other meals so the kitchen was fully utilised and separate dining area a bonus! Lounge was spacious (and warm thanks to the gas heating & fire) with three leather sofas...which although does technically seat 8 was a bit too cosy for 8 adults...who after long walks just wanted to relax. All in all - quality accommodation well appointed!"
