"A good venue for large groups. We were 5 adults and 3 children. Plenty of space although with 8 people sitting round the table there was little room to move in the kitchen. We had small niggles with the washing machine and dishwasher and one of the toilets was difficult to flush. This was at the beginning of the holiday and nothing to do with our use of it. However the owners were very friendly and the children loved letting the chickens out and collecting the eggs. There was a superb games barn with a skittles alley which everyone loved and a nice child friendly garden. We were in easy reach of several beaches, some better than others for children and energetic walks! Not far to the nearest supermarket or pubs. All in all we had a very good holiday, young and old alike!"

"We found Crown Cottage a bit disappointing. It looks charming, just like the pictures on the website, and has the basic facilities (except a shower) but is in reality somewhat past its best, some things are a bit tatty, or just old, like the ancient storage heaters (we had a very cold first evening and night). The house was grubby in a lot of areas (especially the oven and fridge). It has a nice little enclosed garden, but even this is somewhat unkempt. The house itself is in a nice peaceful location, handily mid-way between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury, ideal for exploring the local area, and the village itself is very pretty. If the house was cleaner and the fixtures and fittings were renewed, it would be a lovely place."

"Arndale Cottage was a fantastic base, a beautiful cottage and with more than enough space for two couples and two toddlers. The garden is lovely, and was visited daily by sheep - although this did render it difficult for the children to play in amongst what the sheep left behind! We have been assured by the attentive, efficient and very pleasant Property Manager, Neil, that this is being taken care of by the farmer...and we've no doubt it will be. The Aga in the kitchen took a little getting used to, but was fine to use - and suffice to say we will certainly consider staying at Arndale Cottage again. A genuinely lovely place to stay."

"The cottage was everything you could ask for. Our disappointment was the lack of the hot tub. When we booked the short break we particularly picked a cottage with a hot tub and considered we paid extra for for that luxury. At no point were we informed prior to our stay it had been withdrawn. It was a huge disappointment when we planned our last day to get back early afternoon to have the pleasure of using the tub, it wasn’t until we contacted the owners to be told it had been withdrawnAgain We feel we paid extra for something we didn’t get. It would have been appreciated had we been notified earlier as we may have made another choice"

"We (3 couples) arrived for our long weekend on the 5 October 18. The location near Lyme and Charmouth, and away from the main roads was perfect for the 3 dogs so we could relax during our stay. The Saturday was wet so the games barn was a great added benefit which we used to the full. With one en suite bathroom plus the main bathroom for 3 couples was fine but we may have struggled if we were the 4 couples as intended. The only negative we had was a difficulty to set the temperature for the shower in the main bathroom. Our thanks to the owners for their warm welcome, and the eggs and milk which was a nice touch."
