"We have had a lovely break here at S20631. We wanted a relaxing break, with our two dogs, centrally positioned for walking the coastal paths, visiting St Ives and Padstow and all the bays in between and that is exactly what we got.The accommodation is comfortable, it had everything we needed. It was clean and nicely presented but not pristine and fussy so you worry all the time about putting a cup down without a coaster. The flooring is laminate and tile so there is no carpet for dog paws to ruin. The Old Airefield that surrounds the accommodation is quiet for walking dogs but you do have to keep them on the lead as it is farm land with old disused barns and hangers. There is no enclosed garden or safe place to let them off - Unless they are really well behaved and walk at your heel and don't chase rabbits (like mine do). So pack your extending leads and a torch for those late night/ early morning toileting walks. The owners came and said hello when we arrived and told us how to reach them if we needed to but left us alone to enjoy our break which was perfect. It's a really good location if you want to explore the area by car. You do have distant sea view and there are plenty of bays to visit. Our favourites were: Watergate Bay (by Jamie Olivers fifteen restaurant) and Carbis Bay St Ives. Visit Bedruthan Steps and esp the tea rooms there as they do a lovely cream tea! We also went to Bodmin, Cardingham Woods and visited Woods Cafe also gorgeous. Padstow itself is lovely. To sum it up: it is a perfect location for touring, nice and peaceful, owners lovely and not overbearing, accommodation comfy. We would definitely come back! It is reasonably priced and great value, what is not to like??!!The Cornish Arms nearby is a nice cosy local and dogs are welcome.Pack towels, extending leads, torch and plenty of £1 coins for parking at the bays. Hope you have a great time!"

"What an amazing week we had in Cornwall. We stay in cottages regular and 'Skyber' was the best cottage we have stayed in. We were extremely grateful for the Cornish Ground Coffee, Cornish Biscuits, Cornish Teabags, Milk, Bottle of Red Wine and the stunning Hand Tied Fresh Flowers that were left in the cottage for us from the owners. There was everything in the cottage that we required including lovely fluffy white towels and an enormous bed that was so comfortable. We had our 2 teenagers with us and they each had a comfortable bed too with curtains that seperated them off for privacy. There was a fabulous whirlpool bath which was much needed after a long tiring day exploring Cornwall. Everything in the cottage was SPOTLESS clean. Fresh eggs were available to buy every day as was meat from the farm. There was a communal 'utility' where there was a washer, tumble dryer, ironing board, iron and lots of DVD's that could be used.We had our small dog with us and there was even a 'doggie' basket with freshly laundered throws in as well as some treats.EVERYTHING in this cottage has been well thought of. It was like home from home. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and very approachable. In Cornwall we visited lots of beautiful places including Padstow, Mousehole, Lands End, Holywell Bay (we can recommend the School of Surf there), The Eden Project (go early to avoid queues) and so much more. The beaches are fabulous for surfing and body boarding which our two kids loved. We visited The Cracking Crab in Polzeath which does amazing Fruits de Mer. Launceston has a lovely little town which has a large Co-Op and various takeaway restaurants, lots of Chinese restaurants as well as Indian's and Fish and Chip restaurants. We would most definitely recommend Skyber and would certainly return to this cottage if we were to visit Cornwall again."

"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"We had a wonderful short break at Skyber, which is the first floor of a beautiful converted barn located in a very tranquil setting and literally five minutes off the A30, which makes access to Cornwall and West Devon so easy. The apartment is airy, very spacious and wonderfully light, with all the amenities expected of a premier property. The hosts were most warm and welcoming, and the complimentary bottle of wine, coffee, tea and biscuits on arrival were an added bonus! The apartment easily caters for a family of four, with a really comfortable large double bed and two singles. The bathroom was well appointed with bath and shower and there was always plenty of hot water. The property was very clean and tidy and there is a wood burner in the middle of the living area, which would make the whole place feel incredibly snug in the winter. Outside there is plenty of parking, a private terrace for sundowners, and various walks across the fields to enjoy. We would definitely stay at Skyber again and I would thoroughly recommend it."

"The location is really special, with great views just a moment's step out of the front door. Great walks on the doorstep, nice pubs in town and had an excellent fish dinner at Coast restaurant there too. The interior is comfortable with nice furniture and decor, everything we needed for doing laundry and entertaining ourselves in the rain - board games etc. Was a bit worried about the fog horn but it wasn't as disturbing as we first thought, the brain tunes it out! A couple of points to mention are: that the fridge is a little small for 8ppl, while the freezer is enormous; while there was washing powder, there was only one dishwasher tablet (another thing to have to pop out to get!); no info on recycling, we had to figure out how to do that ourselves as we didn't want to simply put recyclables in rubbish; and no wifi - we didn't want to use it much but became a problem as we had 2 'emergencies' when we needed to get online and signal is bad."
