What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Compton To Rent.

"This is one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. There was far more crockery etc. than 2 people would ever need for the week, and the family have thought of everything likely to be needed when self-catering. It was like staying in someone's home. In spite of the freezing weather the cottage was always warm, with the electric heating being easily controlled. The family are very considerate and helpful and thoughtfully left us a bottle of wine and vase of daffodils for our arrival. Extra personal touches include DVDs, numerous books, board games, jigsaw puzzles etc. and lots of local information, as well as general tourist information. We seldom stay in the same area twice but may well consider returning here as it is so well situated for visiting several places of interest."

"An interesting property, perhaps lacking a personal touch. Being unable to contact the owners as per instructions was a little disturbing and the bed conformation request was obviously not passed on to the local caretaker, but the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The house folder was rather dated and it lacked WiFi instructions for those of us who are less technically minded so a phone call had to be made to the letting company who then supplied the contact number for the local caretaker who tried to help. Perhaps that number should be available should there be any problems. The key to the patio door was missing and couldn’t be found which was a shame as the weather was lovely for the first few days. The cottage was very well situated for a range of days out."

"Spent a great 3 days at this cottageLocation is very quiet with nice views. Excellent easy parking for 2 cars off roadInside it was nicely clean with every amenity we needed. Very comfortable armchairs. Kitchen well equipped .Bed room ensuite of a good quality with a comfortable bedUnder floor heating is good but the individual controllers are difficult to understand with the icons and the instructions in such small print! Controller would not unlock from frost setting in one room! Neighbours in the other cottage had similar problems. However--this did not detract from a great stay and we would definitely return."

"The cottage was perfect for our weekend away - beautifully furnished, with a real attention to detail. Spotlessly clean and a most welcome basket of goodies to enjoy. We had such a glorious time exploring the many local attractions and enjoying the patio garden with stunning views over the fields - al fresco dining with sunshine in April!Great walks in the area and another good lunch at one of our favourite pubs in Buckhorn Weston - the Stapleton Arms. We have already booked for the Autumn. The hosts were in contact to ensure we had everything we could possibly need for a super break. Thank you."

"For me, if the cottage had a log burner, or a focal point fire, of some sort, it would've been perfect. Our stay there was lovely though. The cottage had everything, you would need, in it; along with a welcoming bottle of wine. A lovely touch, from the owners.Mere, is a lovely little village, with really friendly people, and some lovely walks too! We choose Mere, for being within easy reach of Dorset, Somerset and Bath and we weren't disappointed. It was our 1st time, of renting a cottage, and we'll definitely do it again."
