"Lovely cottage in a fantastic location but lacking in attention to detail and cleanliness.Kitchen missing basic items ie no small tumblers for whiskey/water, no chopping boards other than a bread board, had 4 cups but only 1 saucer , only 5 egg cups so had to improvise and use an egg box! All easily sorted but very annoying.Lounge area was comfortable but tv a nightmare due to poor signal and ineffective controllers. No towels provided for downstairs toilet/bathroom.Cleaning standards leaved a lot to be desired ie filthy plugs, a loo brush that was fit for the bin and crisps and crumbs under cushions on one of the sofas which we discovered when we went to re zip a cushion to the back of the sofa as it had been left upside down!!Would not recommend to anyone with back problems as shower had no shelf for soap/shampoo etc so everything had to be left on the floor and there was a similar problem in the bathroom as the sides of the bath were curved and consequently no where to stand anything. Also, unable to contact the caretaker on 3 separate occasions and ended up speaking to the owner, who was delightful.Such a shame as it is a lovely property and despite all the criticism we would be tempted to return but would have to be sure that these issues had all been addressed."

"What a beautiful spot. Truly idyllic. The cottage is great - really spacious and well equipped. The photos don't do it justice at all (a couple of new bed spreads would make all the difference). The owners were kind enough to leave us some really good age-appropriate books and toys for our toddler which helped us manage the amount of stuff we had to bring (thank you!). The grounds around the cottage are gorgeous. We saw ducks, swans and geese on the pond, a deer in the garden, and our son caught his first tadpoles in the stream. The cottage is a half hour drive from the seaside, with many lovely family-friendly beaches. And if you have a little one, Peppa Pig World is only an hour away! I couldn't recommend it any more highly (although if you have a very mobile and curious toddler you'd need to keep a close eye on them as the pond is very close to the cottage entrance). We had a wonderful holiday and may well return again as it's the perfect place for a family break."

"An interesting property, perhaps lacking a personal touch. Being unable to contact the owners as per instructions was a little disturbing and the bed conformation request was obviously not passed on to the local caretaker, but the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The house folder was rather dated and it lacked WiFi instructions for those of us who are less technically minded so a phone call had to be made to the letting company who then supplied the contact number for the local caretaker who tried to help. Perhaps that number should be available should there be any problems. The key to the patio door was missing and couldn’t be found which was a shame as the weather was lovely for the first few days. The cottage was very well situated for a range of days out."

"This is a unique, well-equipped, cottage, surrounded by artwork, literally minutes walk from good local pubs and Corfe Castle itself, with a couple of parking spaces thrown in. Brilliant wood beamed interior. It has a nice stoned back garden to relax in too; enjoy feed the fish once a day. It’s minutes from great medium to long walks along the Purbeck Way too. The single downside for me is that it’s on the main Wareham to Swanage road, with traffic picking up around 7am, so, if you're a light sleeper, it may not be right for you. I’d advise keeping young children downstairs since the (amazing) spiral staircase may be a little steep and narrow for them."

"Pretty, rural location, and close to many good attractions. Lovely sitting room too. However:1) Fridge dirty on arrival.2) Very limited information indeed on either the cottage or locality (e.g. decent pubs, walks, attractions, shops, etc).3) Double bed mattress tired. Either needs turning or replacing.4) Guttering overflows in rain, so entering and exiting is then through a waterfall.5) Copper bottomed pans are not suitable for induction hobs. All took an age to heat up.6) Shower temperature control erratic, and limited hot water one day.7) Not great directions to find the cottage. Good thing it was light."
