"We had a wonderful two weeks in S22381. It's a beautiful converted stable (as the name may suggest!), which has been lovingly converted into a comfortable home from home on a working sheep and cattle farm. It's exceptionally spacious - lots of cupboards in the well-equipped kitchen, a nice big lounge with comfortable seating, comfortable beds in large bedrooms (the main bedroom with the four poster bed is enormous!), and a lovely bathroom with a fantastic shower. It's set in picturesque surroundings - rolling hills and green fields as far as the eye can see, but is exceptionally accessible, being just off the A5 a few miles from Betws-y-Coed and less than an hour from the coast. Our hosts Meilir and Awel were so friendly and welcoming, and were more than happy to recommend places for days out as well as showing us around the farm and taking time to explain what was happening on the farm. We were lucky enough to arrive as the sheep were being sheared, which was fascinating to watch, and Mei was also kind enough to let us watch while the sheep were branded, while their teeth were checked and while he was sorting them to take some to market and some to rough grazing for a few months, as well as talking us through his activities on the farm. The evenings were the best - beautiful sunsets, long walks along the farm tracks listening to the sheep baaing, the cattle lowing, the owls hooting and watching the bats darting around catching insects. We will return to S22381, and would happily recommend it to anyone!"

"The cottage was just what we wanted, a romantic hideaway for our wedding anniversary, very clean, everything we needed was there, they even found us an ice bucket for our bubbly! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The locals are friendly when you see them, which is not very often, which is nice if you want the privacy, which we did. Betws y Coed has the most fantastic places to eat, not cheap, but not over priced if you go to the right places. The owners and locals will recommend the best places, taxi service was great but make sure you get the local one from Betws Y Coed, they are great and very reasonable, there is only one firm based there. The other taxi firms are from further afield and charge extra for coming out to the village. All in all a fabulous weekend!!! The only quibble we had was the floorboards outside the bathroom were a bit flimsy and bouncy, but we just got used to stepping over them, and in the living area they have two very comfy chairs, we would have preferred a two seater sofa to snuggle up on, in front of the fabulous fireplace with log burner! Will definately stay again!!! Wonderful!!! Plenty of activities too with mountain bike trail just around the corner."

"We stayed in Cae Glas for Easter, there were 4 adults and 2 dogs. Although the cottage is only 2 bedrooms, it is large, light and airy. The two living rooms have high ceilings and are spacious. The kitchen is south (ish) facing and gets the sunlight in the morning. It is also large enough for 4 adults to sit comfortably whilst a meal is being prepared. Having the log stove in the kitchen really makes the kitchen a place to linger in the evening with a glass of wine. The livingroom has great windows so you can see the sea and the great orme in the distance, when we were there the gulf course just outside was inundated with rainbows. It is a view to just kick back and watch it change as the weather does. Location wise – it is easy to get to and get out to explore North Wales. It is also in walking distance to a great little pub which did excellent pub food and an Austrian restaurant (which we did not try) I would recommend this cottage to anyone."

"S4839 is a lovely little clean cottage. Open plan with log fire; a lttle dark perhaps - but that is the way these cottages are. It was cleaner than expected and fitted to very high standard. No chintz which we thought was great. The location is great with Betws-y-Coed only a 10 minute drive away. Walking was good directly from the Cottage into the woods to the west of Penmachno. Great mountain biking is to be had here, too. The main road through Penmachno is actually a cul-de-sac so there isn't much traffic through the village. Although quite a bit of what there is seems to go up past the Cottage to the riding stables some miles away. Unexpectedly Wifi was available via the pub's wireless router. The owner was very freindly and helpful and I would be glad to return."

"Really nice well looked after cottage indeed. Clean, good sized rooms, kitchen fully kitted and log burner to keep us warm during breakfast nearby. Very family/child friendly - the attic became the games room for the kids - lots of board games, books and a DVD player. Superb view from living room and main bedroom, looking over the coast of North Wales. Well informed welcome pack and website to give us an idea of what and where to visit nearby. The property even provides a bucket and spade for the kids, a selection of tea and plenty of logs for the fire. The owners even called on arrival to make sure everything was ok. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend this cottage for couples and small families."
