"S74008 is a purpose built holiday let. Although finished to a nice standard, we personally we found it rather clinical. The sofa in the lounge is rather small so after a long day exploring in the cotwolds it was hard to relax (my partner is 6ft2) and the single beds didn't do anything for the romantic in us ! Looking at the previous occupants the majority appear to be couples so I would suggest the single beds are replaced with a nice big kingsize bed. Also, it was difficult to get a Wi-Fi connection as this is extended from the owners property so the only way to stay connected is to position your device on the window ledge facing the owners house, which made lazy browsing impossible. (you had to perch on a chair by the kitchen sink) plus there was no 3/4g connection either ! The owner did explain he was having some issues with wi-fi and was waiting for the Engineer to come out on Tuesday (2 days after we left), but I did read some similar comments from 3 months ago so I would check before booking. All in all, a good location for Bicester shopping village, a clean and well maintained property, with some lovely touches such as the lemon cake on arrival, but this didn't make up for the rest ! To be honest we left a day early as we wanted to wake up in our own comfy bed and browse the web :)"

"My overall rating for this property is 2. I would love to give a good review but I can't. I wish I'd read all the reviews rather than relying on just the review rating before booking. One of the main reasons for booking this cottage was that it was advertised as being detached, but it isn't. It is attached to next door by the owners "office" which someone seemed to be using most days. As this cottage is the owners actual home they had moved into the summer house at the end of the garden and were always pottering about the place. This included entering the property when we were out to turn on the central heating which had been turned off at the start of the holiday. The property description states there is use of a freezer and dvd player this is also incorrect. There was no dvd player, we could have taken one with us if we had known, so had to buy one and the freezer had a lock fitted as it contained the owners food. Luckily he was willing to let us use it because we had taken food for the freezer with us. The one and only shower we could use was adequate but need the head cleaning as very little water came out.The one saving grace for this property is the location as there are so many places to visit without having to travel too far."

"What a fantastic place! The best we have ever stayed in (and we have been doing this for many years, at least twice a year!). Cottage was extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming - and dog friendly! Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. And the welcome pack was something else - never have we had anything like it before - homemade cake, fizz, butter, bread, marmalade, cereal, milk, eggs, biscuits and more! Liz, the owner, was an amazing host, checking in to see all ok but letting us get on with our holiday - but you knew she was there if needed. The garden is fabulous too - surrounded by fields/horses, but not far from Banbury where there is a large selection of shops to suit everyone. Liz, you are an amazing host - and we would love to come back again! Thank you so much :) xx"

"Excellent property right on the main street in Woodstock. Could not get a better location in terms of access to the town and Blenheim. We really enjoyed it here.Great kitchen and lots of cooking equipment including a fantastic griddle, big front room with windows onto the main street for entertaining including a log fire alongside a spacious dining room as well. handy utility room for storing our bikes and cleaning off.Only downside is the traffic noise, especially on weekday mornings as all three bedrooms face onto the street and lorries and cars are not quiet. So as long as you are aware of that its fine. Parking can be a problem, however easy free parking is found on the back streets."

"The house was lovely and well suited to the needs of a family group.Set in the centre of woodstock makes it convienient for local amenities. Blenhiem is just a short walk away. However the pictures of the property showed a small outside space with table and chairs. In fact this was the path on the main street with no table and not suitable for sitting outside. I felt that this was misleading. We were advised of a free car cark near the property but in fact this was limited to a 12 hour stay causing difficulties in ensuring parking on a daily basis as there was often no available roadside parking. These difficulties impacted on the enjoyment of our break."
