"This is a stunning little cottage very clean and the owners are very nice and very helpful. I am loathed to give any negatives but there are one or two that have to be mentioned. Firstly we have cottage holidays in the UK two or three times over a year and this cottage is expensive for its size in comparison to the cottages we rent in England and Wales at the same time of the season. It is a studio cottage rental but the best has been made out of the space available. The cottage is situated behind the owners house in the back garden and it is not really for anyone that has mobility problems. The chairs give little support and there is no couch due to space availability. On a positive note, the kitchen and bathroom facilities are good although the kitchen has limited work surface areas, but, plenty of utensils if you are cooking your own food. This is a very warm cottage if you venture out in the low season. Good television reception and the Wi Fi is fine This property would be good if you like to play Golf with Turnberry ten minutes away or if you like walking. Nearby historical sites are Culzean Castle and better still if you take photographs is Dunure Castle which is awesome. Then a fairly short drive to Alloway for the Robert Burns experience. There is a grocery store just a short distance away which has almost everything you could want including what I suspect to be the biggest selection of flavoured crisps in the UK, never knew the flavours existed. I like to fish for trout and there are quite a few waters available with just a short drive. All in all we enjoyed the visit, I would not return due to my personal health problems, I simply just need a bit more space and I would not rent a studio accommodation again knowing what I know now. But for all you healthy couples out there, this is a good rental and well worth a visit !!"

"When family visited us at the harbourfront flat half way through the week their reaction as they came into the living area was "Wow!" The images of the flat don't show the fantastic view, so on top of a luxury flat with all mod cons you have wonderful sea views and the chance to watch a harbour at work.We came for a family wedding but this holiday gave us a chance to relax and unwind with walks on the endless beach, explorations of the town of Ayr and a visit to the Carnegie Library with its family history resources. Apart from a trip to Tesco the car didn't move from its parking spot. The town is in easy walking distance with both Aldi and the Coop only ten minutes walk away. The town has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to explore and further afield there are lots of places to go.All in all a lovely holiday and we are already thinking about a return visit next year."

"Our 3rd visit to S23469,,this time however we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the kitchen worktops, sink, doors and floors. The Ladies had to do some cleaning before our relaxing weekend could start. Log burner in back lounge hadn't been cleaned out from previous occupant either,,,being a weekend of mild weather we didn't need to use it. Clothes also left in drawer from previous occupant and t-shirt found behind bed in same bedroom. We did contact Alan the owner who said he would sort out a gift voucher for us for local pub as way of compensation,,,sadly he never carried this out and also never bothered to reply to last message we sent him. The 4 couples won't let this put them off and will probably return again next year....as a paying customer it is nice to be acknowledged and sadly we feel our concerns re the cleanliness were not taken seriously on this occasion."

"We were a combined family of 8 visiting and had a lovely stay. The house is in a lovely setting and is huge. There is pleanty of room in the house even with 8 people for everyone to have space, the hot tub and sauna were a really nice addition. Some minor things to point out that didnt spoil our holiday: there was food in the freezer and cupboards, from previous holiday makers which i think should have been removed. We were told there would be water test strips for the hot tub but this was empty. we were told that some would be delivered ASAP but these did not arrive during our holiday. We did try and make contact with the owner via text but unfortunatley he did not get back to me.We would definitley stay here again"

"Spent the first week of June here and had a fantastic holiday. The house is well equipped and very spacious and the view fantastic. The sauna and hot tub on the roof just topped it off. We had great weather and spent most of the time on the beach or sitting in the garden which has a huge barbecue. Next door neighbour Freddie is on hand if you have any problems and owners contact numbers are there to. Staff at the dunure in are very friendly and welcoming and a good place to eat out. Only negative is kitchen area could do with a lick of paint but other than that it is a beautiful home"
