"We had an amazing holiday here. The cottage itself had everything we needed, plus lots of extra touches that made it feel like home! Kay & Mike we’re wonderful hosts, helping us to plan our days out & providing suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble! The welcome tray of milk, bread & Welsh cakes & butter was a great treat! The setting of the cottage has heavenly! The resident chicken & cats were a hit with our little girl. The woodland is just lovely, so relaxing! There are no shops/pubs within walking distance but just a short drive away & tbe only surprise to us was that more local pubs didn’t cook mid week! However the cottage is so well setup that cooking in the evenings was a delight! Local beaches (especially Poppit sands) are just heavenly! But Kay & Mike are always happy to provide suggestions if needed. We were all very sad to leave and return to the real world! I can’t recommend this beautiful little place enough."

"The owner of the cottage is a really lovely lady, but the cottage, although close to a beach, is unusually situated for a holiday cottage, it looks straight on a pair of double garages which would generally be termed eyesores. The view out the back was breathtaking for the wrong reasons. The property gets good sunshine from the front, but is mid terrace and the back has a high cliff going up behind it (wooded), so a bit short on sunlight. There is no back garden, just a very slippery raised decking area and views of concrete/ washing line/ slabs/ domestic oil stores. The real issue for this property is that it is wrongly priced, which means that people feel disgruntled as soon as they arrive. We gave up on trying to use the TV !! The bedrooms were very nice. A very useful property if you want to be able to walk to a quiet beach in 2 minutes and still be able to park. "

"We have had a wonderful stay at The Milking Parlour! Mick & Kay are brilliant...very friendly, warm & welcoming! The Milking Parlour had everything you could possibly need! The beds were so comfy, the fire in the living room is perfect when it’s cold!! The kids absolutely loved seeing Big Bird and Reddy every morning...and thank you so much for the eggs!!The setting is breathtaking, especially on a clear night...I’ve never seen so many stars!!It is lovely and quiet, there is a garage just down the road which sells milk, bread ect...or a little further into the village and you have a premier stores. The coast is only half hour drive away, as are some of the bigger towns...Carmarthen, Llanelli, Lampeter...Cannot wait to stay here again, and will definitely be recommending you to all of our friends!Thank you so much for a truly magical stay!"

"This cottage should be a gem, but is being let down by a general lack of care. The cottage seemed clean when we arrived but then we found bits of various old soaps (left from previous guests), in both bathrooms, a toothbrush struck to a mirror, socks and envelope full of dust under the bed, an old pop bottle in one of the bedrooms and numerous other silly cleaning issues. The oven was hard to use as you couldn't see the markings on the oven knob. But on the plus side the cottage was warm when we arrived. It is in a good location and is close to a good shop and takeaways. The town has a field were you can walk your dog. The cottage is in a quiet side street and it has off the road parking."

"Very nice and comfy cottage. I would go there again. Suitable for all seasons. In the summer you can explore the area a bit more - e.g. climb Paxton tower and go to Carmarthen. Local farm shop is very good too. Definitely a nice place yo stay at and with nice view. Pet friendly and cosy, in a rural style - making feel at home and wanting to explore the history of the place. Fireplace keeps you warm if cold outside. Central heating also available. Owner is very friendly and informative, lives behind the cottage with his wife - same building, different entrance. To some this might be a disadvantage but it is handy if you need to ask them for something."
