      The cottage was spacious, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We especially liked the sensor lights that came on in the kitchen, hall and bathroom at night. Everything in the cottage that you could possibly need. Host very welcoming, checking we had everything we needed. Two very local pubs that do food and good beer, (but no food on a Sunday evening!) and very handy to be almost next door to the little co-op - grateful to have a parking space for the flat as space is limited in Bishopston. Ideal location to explore the wonderful Gower peninsular with lots of walks and varied terrain. Really appreciated the milk, welsh cakes, coffee and flowers in the kitchen on arrival.       This apartment is very well appointed and comfortable with all modern conveniences. The beds and showers are particularly good and it is very well situated in terms of access to shops, restaurants and the Mumbles Bay front . It is also easy to leave your car in the alloted space and walk or use public transport. A note should perhaps be inserted in the description to warn anyone with mobility problems that the external staircase is quite steep, especially when carrying luggage. Overall, though a very nice place to stay and Mumbles is a lovely place with great cafes, restaurants and shops plus easy access to the Gower beaches

      We enjoyed our stay at Castle View Appartments - the view of the castle really is good! The property is roomy and comfortable. The location was great, in the heart of Mumbles meaning we could walk to local coffee shops, restaurants and shops and further afield for example along the walking and cycleway to Swansea without having to always use the car. We also used the local buses which were good. The coast and countryside of the Gower are very accessible from the property and well worth exploring.

      We can thoroughly recommend this property which is fitted to a high standard. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with wonderful waterfall showers. The lounge is comfortable with a wonderful aspect to Oystermouth Castle. The location is great - you can walk down to the Mumbles promenade and the local individual shops. Wonderful coffee shop, delicatessen and M&S Food Store all opposite. Having a parking space is fantastic as parking is very difficult in the village.

      The castle view apartment is a wonderful cottage with pretty views, a great location and very comfortably furnished. It was a great choice for our long weekend away with 2 couples and a baby. The apartment feels cozy but still has a good amount of space. We mostly self-catered and were happy that we were able to find most things we needed to do so. There were also very nice coffee shops, restaurants and bars very close by. We would stay here again.

    Skomer Island
    Skomer, or Skomer Island, is an island off the coast of Pembrokeshire in West Wales. It's well known for its wildlife, including half of the world's population of Manx Shearwaters, Atlantic puffins and the Skomer vole.

    Ramsey Island RSPB Nature Reserve

    Seabirds, flocks of choughs and peregrines nest on these dramatic offshore islands, whose cliffs rise up to 120 metres. Enjoy a walk along the coastal heathland, taking in the scenery across the Irish Sea as you enjoy the wildlife. Boats leave from St Justinians for the short crossing to Ramsey. There is a small shop on the island.

    The Aberystwyth Cliff Railway opened on 1 August 1896. It is a 778 feet long funicular railway in Aberystwyth and is the second longest funicular railway in the British Isles, after the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway.
