"The Cottage is brilliantly situated for exploring the Gower, 3 Cliffs Bay, Llanstefan, Penbury Country Park etc, all within a 30 - 40 minute drive. It is located on a small side road in a small village but does not appear to have any shops, post office, newsagent etc within walking distance so everything is by car. The parking is at the end of the cottage and is fine for 1 car. The cottage is surrounded by lovely fields, the only problem we experienced (and you can't really complain about as you are in the country) is that the road the cottage is on seems to be the main access road for the farm tractors and trailers. The Tractor/Trailer passes very close to the cottage and does tend to rumble and be quite noisy for a few seconds. This would not normally be a problem but on the weekend we stayed there, fields were being cut and so on the Sunday evening, we had them going past the cottage from 6pm until 1am every 8 to 10 mins! I'm sure this is a rare event but it spoiled an otherwise perfect weekend as we could not sleep until it finished. The cottage itself is lovely, wonderfully decorated and all the comforts of home. The Hot Tub is excellent, very clean, very warm but appears to be for 4 people (fine for us as only 2) which is slightly strange given that the cottage sleeps 6, however, there is some nice garden furniture that can be used while you wait!Overall, it was a lovely break, only slightly spoiled by the late night traffic."

"We loved our stay at Woodlands. It was by far the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully renovated, comfortable, well equipped. It was a great location to explore the region and we absolutely fell in love with Laugharne. It is just stunning. The location is great for exploring the coast, learning about Dylan Thomas, a short walk to a pub. The food in the area isn't the best but we had a lovely tea at Arthurs (we should have booked early as we would have gone more often). We would recommend going to Pendine Sands, Barafundle Bay (with a nice coastal walk with the dog on the way). We also liked the National Trust Colby Woodland Garden. The dog had a lovely time jumping in and out of the river with some other dogs.We enjoyed the complimentary Welsh cakes in the cottage. My children even managed to sleep as the rooms were so comfortable (unusual for them, guess we exhausted them). I particularly enjoyed relaxing and reading in the lovely bath. We had the fire on once but were really lucky with the weather most of the week.Well done on the beautiful restoration. It's great that you have restored it as it would be such a shame for it not to be enjoyed as it now will be."

"When we arrived it was beautifully presented and were left a bottle of Prosecco, welsh cakes and crisps as a welcome gift. The whole decor and furnishings have been carefully selected with themes of colours and stars etc running through - so lovely ? The bed in the downstairs is very firm if you prefer that whereas the double upstairs is softer - depends what you prefer. Didn’t use the twin room. There were three of us and it was great - I think more than 4 would be very cosy if for a week if you were inside much - but for us it was great to enjoy space. In the lounge you can just watch grass in the field waving - so peaceful and meditative I loved it.Hot tub fab - especially after a long bike ride on nearby millennium cycle path.Cared for daily and very very clean.Nearby pub the Kjngs Arms is great and well worth a visit.Highly recommend this lovely house.Just mind the step up into the toilet as I fell upIt ? it may catch you out! We may well be back as it’s a lovely place with fab views of surrounding countryside"

"Gwili Cottage was absolutely immaculate when I arrived. This cottage was just perfect for me and my dogs over Christmas and New Year. While its absolutely off the beaten track its gets 10 out of 10 for those who want/need to get away from it all. You can take slow walks up the river or stay in the cottage and chill out next to the log fire. If your burnt out like I was upon arrival and need to gain some space, time out and relaxation this is the place to go for peace and tranquility. Points to remember - shop before you arrive as its a very long car ride to get supplies and read the very specific directions to get there.Gwili is charming, spacious, comfortable, well furnished and equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. It was a real honor to be the first guest and I was warmly welcomed with the most wonderful seasonal gift basket."

"The house was nice, but for the money we`ve paid, there are some things to criticize: most dishes were dirty, the oven was dirty and it seems that it wasn't cleaned for a long time. There were cobwebs at the Windows and ceilings. The tub wasn't very clean and the whole week was no one there to look after the water. It seems to us that the water wasn't cleaned or changed. The information, that you shouldn't use the toilet in the master bedroom would be fine. With this information we maybe wouldn't made the decision to book this house. In the master bedroom, the other bedroom near the second bathroom and in the second bathroom itself was a fecal odor the whole time from the beginning. In total, the pictures promise more than to hold."
