"Unfortunately I cannot agree with other reviewers of this property. While the property is ideally situated in Carmarthenshire and has plenty of space for a large group we were disappointed by a few things:Firstly the description of the property and photos do not indicate how close the Old Cow Shed is to the other two cottages - literally 5 metres. There is no screening between the properties so both visually and audibly you are aware of the other properties and they you. If you are happy with this arrangement then fine. Secondly the photo with lovely garden furniture isn't quite what is actually provided - namely 4 picnic tables which are certainly less than comfortable for eating outside. We had two specific problems with the property. The second fridge would not work below 7 degrees. With a party of 13 you really need a large fridge! Also the hot tub jets failed on the second day. On both occasions when we contacted the number for help they could not solve the problem. Also their manner was rather dismissive with no apology.A final point, when I re-read the reviews it turned out that someone else had reported the broken toaster and yet this was still in the property. For the prices being charged we would expect a more responsive approach to correcting faults with key equipment that makes the holiday work for a large party. For these reasons I would therefore not recommend this property."

"Good value for money, beautiful looking cottage which was very homely with lovely views. Welsh cakes on arrival were a lovely touch! Appliances need updating/fixing - oven cooks very slowly, and toaster only toasts one side of the bread. Heating was a little too warm and very difficult to work out how to turn down. Location is very pretty, and ideal if you plan to do not very much however there is not much to do within walking distance if you are bored.General cleanliness of the cottage was great, however there was a stray pin on the floor which made its way into the heel of one of our party's children! Also, the plug in the upstairs bathroom does not work so water doesn't stay in the bath! However, water pressure in showers was great considering so many of us were using them at the same time."

"We were a group of 12 people who were not related and had come to work on a Bible exhibition in Carmarthen so we were not a typical holiday groupWe found the area lovely and relaxing especially as the weather was warm and appreciated the outdoor tables and chairsThe kitchen facilities were good and the Rayburn stove gave us oodles of hot water and additional cooking facilities, however we found the fridge a bit on the small side for the size of the party but we managed as we shopped dailyThe dishwasher and washing machine were excellent additions tooHowever we did find that having only 3 toilets/bathrooms a bit stressful but the showers were lovelyOverall we had a good stay and loved being in the heart of the country surrounded by Gods beautiful creationThank you"

" Very cold. Electrics kept tripping. System not robust enough to support heating required.Owners contacted and just switched heaters around. This resulted in a noxious oil smell all the time. Our guests stongly considered moving back into main house to sleep on sofas in the lounge. The shower in this building did not give a consistent temperature, mostly cold.Fortunatley these guests had only planned on staying two nights. One of the sofas in lounge did smell strongly of cat pee as somebody had pointed out in visitor book. This did not appear to have been cleaned as still smelling very strongly, and just covered with throws. Induction cooker hob very slow, making cooking a trial. "

"A very spacious comfortable homely farmhouse with beautiful view. The children especially enjoyed the hot tub. Downsides were the very narrow 2 mile road from the village and the rocky farm track to the farmhouse. We arrived on a very wet day so the parking area was very muddy. There isn't a washing machine or dryer so trying to dry wet towels was an issue for 12. The description said one basket of logs would be provided. This was not the case and the local garage did not have any. I assume logs are available only during winter months as with the Rayburn which was not lit and the oven was small; a challenge when cooking for 12 people. Despite these minor hiccups the holiday was lovely."
