"There is no denying the amazing views, but that's all there is and owners can't rely just on that to rent out a property. The farmers track is passable with a 4x4 as very uneven and high in certain places. If you don't have the clearance under your car you will cause damage. The cottage itself needs a bit of TLC, its a bit tired, unclean and dram. Kitchen windows are permanently misted so obscures the view. The garden is very unkempt, needs weeding, a mow and tidy. Garden furniture old and rotten, no where to eat in the garden to enjoy those views. A small old 2 set bistro set available, but can't cope with 3 people to eat or sit.The cottage smelt awful (pet ammonia smell), very over powering. I used 2 cans of air freshener to mask the smell. We have dogs and my house smells clean so its up to owners to make sure house clean before renting out. The TV is standing on a couple of 2x4 wooden blocks)...why? Property is being rented, therefore a bit of effort needed, as its not cheap to rent! Double bed is awful, springs stick up and squeaks everytime we moved. Both of us suffered sleepless nights and backache. My son got into his single bed on the first night and cried out with pain...plastic plug cover was left under the sheet?? All inside window frames covered in black mold/dirt....a quick wipe with bleach would sort this out.Neighbours dog let out at 4am every morning for an hour and it barked non stop. Not enough kitchen utilises, bowls, cutlery or crockery and only 3 of us! There is nothing nearby no shops, pub too far to walk and was never open. So you do need to drive miles to get food, which ok for us, but if in a low car it will get damaged up the dirt track.I've rented cottages over 20 years with my dogs and family, and this one is the worst, especially considering the price. But we made the most of it and enjoyed the warm weekend on the beaches."

"Ty Bach is a beautiful cottage situated in a rugged unspoilt countryside. The cottage was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas of Pembrokeshire; the coast and beaches are stunning (miles of golden sand). We loved watching seals and pups at Deer Haven, Stumble Bay and visiting Tenby (a picture perfect town). The cottage itself is a lovely flint building and the kitchen is well equipped (just a bit dated). The place was generally clean but could do with furniture being moved during cleaning as fairly dusty behind some furniture. The shower head needs replacing as was just a dribble of water but we worked round it as had baths, or used jugs. However, a replacement shower head is a simple fix and should be easily sorted. We didn’t let it bother us much as the cottage was lovely base; beds were really comfortable and it is very pleasant. We would stay again as it’s a beautiful site; the grounds are full of flowers and very picturesque. The owner introduced herself at the start but we were so busy visiting the amazing Pembrokeshire sites that we didn’t have much time at the cottage but it was a lovely base and we would be happy to stay there again"

"We were walking the coastal path so it was ideally situated at the beginning of the walk in Amroth. Nice size for two people and a dog. We booked the cottage at fairly short notice for a week to walk some of the Pembrokeshire coastal path - if you want a short walk during your stay, start at Amroth and walk to Saundersfoot or on to Tenby and return on the train to Kilgetty and then a taxi back to the cottage.. Ideally situated for the start of the walk. Within easy access of Amroth - suggest the Amroth Arms if you wish to eat out as they have an excellent choice and friendly staff. Although the property is situated within the owners site, this did not feel intrusive. Very clean and it was ideal for two of us and a dog. Good to find a property that is in excellent condition where they will accept pets. Would recommend Well maintained, very clean, good facilities. "

"In places the cottage is very tired, kitchen in particular. Appliances and cabinets all appear old. A lack of kitchen scissors was an annoyance. In the living area the sofas were small (for a family of 4), and also quite uncomfortable.Bedrooms seemed the wrong way around with the double bed being in the smaller of the rooms. This was also very hard and uncomfortable. The main problem though was the hot water. There was barely enough to run a bath - and it would literally run out, as in water stop coming out of the taps. Also the hot water was timed to come on overnight, whereupon the system made an amazing amount of noise, making it impossible to sleep.Outside the cottage and gardens have plenty of character and the setting is lovely. However parking for our family estate was awkward, and necessitated a lot of reversing."

"Thanks again Walwyns Castle Community for the beautiful cottage. We have had a wonderful stay and blessed with 7 days of fabulous weather. The summer duvets were very necessary - thank you! Spent most of the week on our favourite beaches, building sandcastles and body boarding, what we call a perfect Pembrokeshire day! Tried new places to eat this year - The Castle in Little Haven (booking necessary), The Milton Brewery do an amazing Sunday lunch and if you're stuck and nowhere is available try The Jolly Sailor, you may have to sit in the back garden but the view is amazing and food really good. We'll be back again."
