"Thank you for a lovely stay at MAST cottage: a beautifully decorated and equipped home from home, with so many thoughtful touches which added to the comfort of our stay. The cottage is very well-equipped, with plenty of glasses, good quality crockery and utensils. The kitchen provides an excellent selection of pots and pans for cooking, with a good-sized fridge-freezer and dishwasher. We really appreciated the beautiful garden, with comfortable outdoor seating: the planting is an absolute joy! We could relax, knowing our little dog was safe as the fencing is secure and garden fully enclosed. It is so nice to come to a property which is truly pet-friendly, with doggy treats and towels! The beds are comfortable and bathroom facilities all function easily, with plentiful hot water. The downstairs bedroom ensured that a disabled member of our party was fully included. This was out second visit to MAST cottage and we will look forward to our return: walks from the door and a well-stocked local shop, a range of shops and restaurants/cafes made for a very enjoyable long weekend. It is actually more spacious than the photos suggest, with a superb open plan living space, complemented by a delightful conservatory."

"Pros: Lovely grounds (good grassy area for kids games) and nice outdoor area for eating if weather permits.Great kitchen/diner area - big table, big fridge freezer, large kitchen top area for preparing meals. Dishwasher worked well. Wi-fi worked well.Well supplied with crockery/utensils (except see below).Adult bed was comfortable and adult room had lots of storage space.Very helpful and friendly hosts (including the cat).Cons:Sofas were not very comfortable. Television needs to be much bigger (and smarter in this day and age). Toaster needs to be bigger (would not completely toast a standard sized slice of bread and you couldn't fit a Warburtons crumpet in it!). We were always running out of teaspoons (perhaps another 4 would suffice). Kids said their beds were not very comfortable and their room was rather small with two beds squeezed in it.Oil burner leaked over the floor during prolonged rain.Independent control over the radiators would be a bonus (they are controlled from the main house.)"

"Spent 6 days at Heron Cottage, the cottage was very nice and homely everything we needed was there, it was also vey clean. We had a great deal of rain and the fault we had was to get to the cottage from the car, there was no proper path just stepping stones which were muddy so we had to drag our cases through the mud, no other way to get to the front door. The owners of the cottage were very nice. Although this was not a holiday as we needed to get back and forth to Southampton hospital as a member of our family was there for surgery. So it did what was needed."

"Gorgeous stay in an incredibly beautiful and comfy cottage. Couldn’t have had a more wonderful stay for our first holiday with our 4 month old daughter. Everything was provided for our comfort. Incredibly picturesque. Special thanks to Iain was very patient with my anxious new mummy questions before arrival. Have to note that there are a few steps up to the front door so we had to carry luggage and baby up those but wasn’t particularly an issue for us but should be noted for those with mobility issues."

"The cottage's setting is excellent with lovely views. The hosts are very welcoming and non- intrusive. It is a very scenic area to explore with good access to many local attractions. The cottage was well presented and very comfortable. Slight downsides are access to the bedroom is via the bathroom, unusual but perfectly manageable for two, and cooking facilities do not include a full oven. Otherwise we couldn't find any downsides and really enjoyed our week's stay."
