"Overall rating 9/10, this is my absolute highest score I give anyone unless it's a restaurant or along those lines so 9 for this place means absolutely brilliant.Comfort and equipment was a 9 because I absolutely loved the chairs in the sitting area and your board full of up to date leaflets was utterly brilliant. I've never seen anything quite like that and I think it's a brilliant way to showcase what's around.Location: fantastic. My partner and I was looking for a secluded and remote spot and frankly it's exactly that. Although if you're travelling for the first time I suggest doing it whilst it's not pitch black as the country lanes are narrow and it's better all round if you go when you are at least able to see the road.Cleanliness, there were a few niggles here and there but overall very clean and very satisfied.Local amenities, the nearest shops is in Aberystwyth about 30 mins give or take. But of course if you're coming to this spot, you won't find much without needing to drive the car. There are fields upon fields where there is peace and quiet and beautiful for walking dogs, as this is a dog friendly accommodation.Value for money, for what you get at such a reasonable price is awesome. We will be booking to come back in the future, especially to get the much needed peace and quiet. All in all absolutely loved this place, definitely will be kept in our favourite places to visit again."

"I wanted peace and tranquility as i have a busy life. I found the cottage straight away but thought it could not possibly be it as it was covered with scafolding. Owner had not advised me of that but, told me they would more than likely be in, they wernt. Phoned several times, no reply. Retraced my steps 4 times and each time go back to the same cottage, so knew it was the right place. Went in, met by the most awful smell. All the windaws were open so they must have been aware of it. Living room only had armchairs so no way you can sit together and night and snuggle. When owner did get in touch he said the shared washroom was going to be busy as thir son was home and he had lots of washing. Next morning workmen turned up, i was so dishartened i packed and left. Sent a message to the owners to say we had left, to which i received no reply."

"We loved it!! If you are looking for a country retreat with peace and quiet this is the place for you It is off the beaten track so you have to be well organised with food etc, but it is very comfortable. The owner had left a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and barra brith which was indeed very welcome after a long journey. The walled garden was large and our two dogs loved it, as well as the paddock to run in. The log fire made the whole place very cosy and the dogs zeroed-in on the hearth. There are lots of places to visit within easy reach to suit all tastes, although the weather was unkind to us - the weather man said it was more akin to Autumn than early summer! The owner was lovely, very helpful and gave us good ideas of where to visit. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and intend to revisit in the future."

"Jenny and the family gave us a lovely warm welcome at Dan y Coed . A quaint rustic property along a very short track just off the main road between Aberaeron and Aberystwyth . It was very clean, with a cosy, homely feel, and with two double bedrooms, and one single it suited our particular needs perfectly. The bedrooms were large and spacious as was the rest of the property, which included a large open plan lounge, Kitchen/Diner, with the kitchen being very well equipped. The decor and furniture throughout is country charm, rather than modern cutting edge, however for us that only added to the overall charm. The location was excellent for exploring the local area, with even a small glimpse of a sea view from the front window . Would we stay there again? yes of course.!!"

"West Wales is a beautiful area with a variety of places to visit, and our stay was enhanced by generally good weather. The Coach House is ideal for two couples with the advantage of 2 ensuite double rooms. It is spacious and well equipped, and also very attractively designed and fitted. The yard area is not quite so attractive, but there is an enclosed private garden. The peacefulness and the abundance of birds compensates. The hosts were very welcoming and provided a wonderful selection of home made and local produce for our arrival. Our one comment would be that the sofa in the lounge is getting soft and is not comfortable to sit on for too long. As we all sing together in a group we were disappointed that the piano was not in tune."
