About this property

Tywyn 7.3 miles. Arthur’s Cottage holds a lot of history and personality, named after one of the previous owners who had a positive presence in the village of Abergynolwyn for his charisma and character much like ‘Doc’ from Back to the Future, this cottage is a real hit with the locals who will be happy to tell tales of the much-loved man. A beautiful stone-built, semi-detached property, it’s a wonderful place for small families or friends to unwind in the idyllic settings of Wales. Walk down the stone path of the front garden, a precious space directly opposite rolling hills, be sure to stop here with your morning coffee the next day to take in the breath-taking scenes. As soon as you enter the property you will step into the lounge, a plush and simplistic area, offering you a marvellous woodburner against exposed stone and slate, it intertwines modern and traditional interior to give the cottage even more character than it already holds through its previous history. There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor, with two single beds, it’s ideal for kids or even friends to get a restful sleep without the hassle of top and tale. Head down the corridor to the shower room, perfect after a rainy walk with the dogs where you can hang your coat on the heated towel rail outside the room to avoid anymore mucky paw marks. Up the tasteful tartan staircase, you can find a glorious master bedroom in the style of a mezzanine, with a daring but delightful slate wall above the bed, it’s a great room for couples, with views overlooking stunning scenery and a small seating area next to the window for you to enjoy a morning snack, it’s a lovely room to help you unwind before the adventure really begins. As you set off for the day to explore the village of Abergynolwyn, be sure to stop in the village hall next door where you can find a charming café, hosting events at all times of the year, and is a real hotspot for the locals, as well as the village pub also boasting delicious food and all important beer. Surrounded by plentiful tourist attractions, you’re in for an action-packed holiday in close proximity to the historic narrow-gauge Talyllyn Railway, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, and Corris Mine Explorers, the local area hosts an array of activities that are fun for all the family. Be sure to venture further afield into the lands of Snowdonia National Park, where you can find even more stunning scenery as well as things to do dotted around every village including the Dyffryn Ardudwy Burial Chamber and the ruins of Cymer Abbey, there’s plenty of history to explore in this bustling area of Wales.

Tywyn lies on the edge of the Cardigan Bay and the coast of the Snowdonia National Park. Boasting a wealth of coastal and countryside attractions, including lovely sandy beaches for exploring. There is a large selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets for all of your amenities. Perched on the end of the imposing Cader Idris mountain range with a wealth of landscape surrounding.
