What our customers say about their holidays

    • Frank from Manchester - Verified booking

A beautifully converted barn with full modern amenities.
The welcome food pack was excellent with home made cake, Home made lamb burgers can be bought from the owner. Little touches that matter like fresh flowers, soaps, games and books. We had house martins flying in one door and out the other! Try crabbing off Aberdovey pier - great fun for children. Mawddach cycle trail from Dolgellau is excellent. The food at the Tyn y Cornel Hotel, Talyllyn and at the Salt Marsh kitchen in Tywyn is good. Tywyn cinema and the swimming pool offer some leisure, if it's raining.

We loved Isgubor y Waun, at first sight. It is surrounded by fields, with mountains beyond and a view of the sea and coastline. The house is equipped with everything one could possibly need. Mrs Davies, the owner, called in to welcome us and left us a welcome gift of bread, eggs, milk and delicious lemon cake. The hot tub was a fun addition and well used, at the end of our days out. The children loved being invited to see the week old calf, with her mother. We are three generations and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. It was hard to say goodbye.

The setting was beautiful with views of the mountain and sea. The owners were thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was clean and we'll stocked. I was especially impressed that the owners were there to welcome us and even left us a welcome package of fresh eggs and homade bread. A very relaxing stay away from it all. Enjoyed visiting Harlech Castle about a hours drive away but very scenic along the way. Had an excellent dinner at the Proper Gander in Tywyn and at Indiana Cuisine in the Fairbourne.

This cottage and it’s owners are so welcoming.

It’s beautifully finished, very clean and well equipped- like a hotel suite. Lovely views- especially from the raised sitting area and dog walks from your door. The owners have a permissive path for well behaved dogs, on lead, over their fields and woods. 1.5m from Tywyn with its glorious beach where there’s a good dog area too. Gywedd and neighbouring counties has much to explore. Heritage railways and historic sites and amazing waterfalls and mountains and coast. Not to mention great ice-cream! We intend to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Bryn Elgwys cottage.

The owners Karen and Rhys were amazing hosts. The wood burning hot tub was a treat. Although the first set up does take a while but after that it took about 30 to 45 minutes to warm. The views are amazing too. But the best thing was the WiFi never have we been anywhere before that had WiFi as fast as this!!! My husband was so impressed. To be fair you could definitely work from there anytime. Even in the hot tub too!! We will definitely be back. Thank you again for such a fantastic relaxing week. Carole and Wolf
