About this property

Happy Landing is a wonderful seaside cottage set in the western part of the Snowdonia National Park, in the lovely little village of Llanfair. With stunning views of Cardigan Bay and less than than a mile from Llandanwg beach which due to its location is shielded from the famous Welsh winds so you can enjoy the area even in the off peak season. With welcoming accommodation for two people, this could be the perfect romantic retreat for you and your loved one. Wander through the serene front garden and enter the property into its snug conservatory area which makes for a fabulous spot to sit and admire the coastal views without the brisk sea breeze. From here, step into the whitewashed cottage and be welcomed in by the homely open-plan living area. This enticing space is dominated by a magnificent Inglenook fireplace placed next to the cosy two-seater sofa, a fine place to curl up and enjoy an evening in with your other half. To the other side of the living area sits a charming and fresh kitchen, along with a delightful dining table looking out towards the picturesque coastline. Take the stairs and be welcomed by the bright and spacious bedroom, a king-size bed is enhanced by dual-aspect windows and benefits from its own refreshing en-suite shower room. To enjoy this surprisingly mild climate, wander out into the front garden, where a choice of sitting areas display wonderful vistas to sit and admire with a chilled drink. Llanfair itself provides a café and some fascinating Slate Caverns, while the popular, historic town of Harlech is just one mile away. This is a fine holiday base dominated by its ancient castle, it also comes with the beautiful Royal St David's Golf Club on it's doorstep. A further two renowned Links Courses within easy reach make it an ideal destination for golfing enthusiasts. Nearby there is something to suit every taste, awe-inspiring walking and cycling is available throughout the Snowdonia National Park, a day at the traditional seaside resort of Barmouth is also a must-do. Bring your loved one to this fabulous seaside cottage to enjoy the rural wonders of North Wales.

Llanfair quietly nestles between the foothills of the Rhinog mountains and the golden beach of Harlech. Boasting its own mild climate due to its unusual positioning, and an array of wildlife and birds, this village is an ideal base for scenic walks in the surrounding countryside. Harlech is dominated by its 13th century castle, its famous Royal St. David's course and a variety of amenities.

The bed was very comfortable, and having a morning cuppa, while watching the sheep in the field opposite, was a chilled way to start the day. The sunsets and view down to Shell Island are stunning, as are the walks from the doorstep. As a solo traveller with a dog, it was reassuring to know that the owners where only next door if needed. I'm looking forward to my next stay

. It was decorated according to the welsh name. Tv wouldnt work so had to call ownwer who came immediately to show us how it worked. From him, we discovered that there was no BBC channels, and that there was a firestick so there were lots of other things. We had no idea about a firestick, everything we tried to watch seemed to need a sky card or a prime account so we were stuck with the freesat minus BBC programmes. In the summer this would not be a problem, in the winter it was. There should be info on how to use these things as well. We didn't know how to use the microwave/oven and avoided using it, again no instructions. Seating was uncomfortable, small and slouchy whereas I need something that would support my back. (bed was also uncomfortable but this is a personal preference). No instructions on recycling so we guessed at what went where. No bin in the kitchen. Shower has mould growing and is very poor. Took ages to get soap from my hair as the shower wasnt powerful enough. Bathroom generally needs some modernisation
