About this property

Tucked away in the coastal town of Harlech, just a moment away from independent cafés and restaurants, is this delightful, end-terrace cottage, Tryfar House. This three-bedroom cottage is idyllic for a family of five seeking an escape, only one mile away from a sandy beach. Park in a designated parking space outside your home-from-home and step inside the hallway where you can kick off your shoes ready for a Welsh adventure. Locate the kitchen/diner, certain to tempt budding chefs with its electric oven and hob, and when meals are piping hot, enjoy them together at the rustic dining table. Moving through the home, admire the slate flag flooring as you discover the sitting room, well-presented in autumnal colours and hosting a crackling woodburning stove so you can keep warm in front of the TV. As the day draws to a close, climb upstairs and choose between a king-size double, another double and a single bedroom, all with white-washed walls. Awaken with a refreshing rinse in the shower room before making a steaming cup of coffee, courtesy of the coffee maker. The majestic and impressive World Heritage listed castle is only five minutes away, as is the town core with shops, restaurants and cafés. Enjoy wonderful coastal treks or just a family day out on the sand at Tremadog Bay's gorgeous beach, while golfers will want to visit the renowned Royal St. David's course. Just a short drive away is Barmouth, in the estuary of the River Mawddach, with its stunning beaches, quiet coves and abundant marine life, including dolphins and whales. Snowdonia National Park offers walkers and hikers a diverse landscape of natural lakes, jagged peaks, glacial landscapes, and quiet towns. Hike one of its famed peaks, like Snowdon, Wales’s highest, or ride the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which gives views across the sea to Ireland. There is so much wonderful scenery to explore at this fantastic cottage, leaving you wanting to return again and again.

Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.

The property needs a new sofa and had we been a party of 5 this would have been an issue, but for 2 of us we just used the chairs. Parking outside is tight but to be expected for the type of property and location.

Luckily Hevin the neighbour said he would sort as the bins were overflowing from the last guests. Also log burner not working so found that we sat in kitchen instead of using cute cottage living room. Amazing area and beautiful cottage.

Also a lovely and helpful neighbour who greeted us when we arrived. We booked the cottage for the fire in the living room and were disappointed to see a sign when we arrived saying it was not working. Lots to do in the area and it was a great centre point for everything we wanted to do whilst staying in Wales. The shower was a bit temperamental at times but nothing major.
