Nyth Bran enjoys a superb position just 400 metres from the centre of the historic town of Harlech, resting between the glorious coastline and the rolling hills of the majestic Snowdonia National Park. This traditional, stone built miner’s cottage is a perfect retreat also within a five minute drive or 25 minute walk of Harlech’s stunning 4 mile long sandy beach. There are numerous walking routes to the beach, including footpaths through the woods opposite the cottage, steps from the town centre or indeed the Ffordd Pen Llech (the newly crowned steepest street in the world). This retreat is ideal for a family seeking a refreshing break to this part of North Wales, steeped with history and culture. After an action-packed afternoon, be welcomed into the tastefully decorated accommodation boasting character features and contemporary furnishings, where a sitting room complete with a woodburning stove awaits you during those chilly winter evenings. The designated chef of the group will be delighted by the kitchen, the recently refitted kitchen provides a great space to pack up a picnic for the beach or cook a heart-warming evening meal that can be enjoyed at the dining table with your loved ones amidst. During a balmy afternoon, spend a moment or two within the rear garden. The generous outdoor space at Nyth Bran is on three levels, comprising a ground level patio complete with outdoor dining table and chairs, a small seating area on the next level and a further larger garden area at the upper level, where a bench and two sun loungers provide the perfect spot from which to enjoy the panoramic views from the tip of the Llyn Peninsula, across Cardigan Bay to the summit of Mount Snowdon, here you can pour yourself a refreshing drink before catching the final glimpses of sunshine and on a clear evening the beautiful sunsets. Find here too, a purpose built decked dining area furnished with a bistro table and stools overlooking the stunning views.You can also use of the insulated wooden cabin with sofas and a small fridge freezer, from which you can soak up the views whatever the weather!. Retire to one of the well-presented bedrooms, comprising a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which can be made as a twin or double. Each bedroom enjoys a refreshing colour palette and ample storage to house your personal belongings during the week-long break. If you can tear yourself away from this hideaway, head into the centre of Harlech where a number of cafe's, takeaways, ice cream shop and pubs await you, as well as shops for picking up the essentials. Brush up on the local history by spending an afternoon discovering the town's 13th-century castle, or if you are feeling active venture to the Royal St. Davids golf course or a short drive to Coed y Brenin mountain bike trails at Zipp World. Within the surrounding area you will find the Italianate village of Portmeirion with its sub-tropical gardens, or a magnitude of walks upon the rolling hills of the Snowdonia National Park. The towns of Bala, Betws Y Coed Dolgellau and Cernarfon are all less than an hour's drive away. Nyth Bran is an outstanding base for exploring the delights of North Wales with your loved ones.

Harlech is a small town resting between the mountains and the sea, just 11 miles away from Barmouth and 11 miles from Porthmadog. Within the historic town you will find a castle built by Edward I and has World Heritage status and the popular and famous Royal St. Davids course. Here, you will also find a beach which is popular with families and a selection of quality restaurants and shops. Snowdonia National Park and Cardigan Bay's gorgeous beaches are also within reach.
