Ty Kate is an end-terraced cottage in the village of Tanygrisiau on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage can sleep three people and has one double bedroom, a child's single and a shower room. There is also an open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburner. Outside there is parking in a free car park a one minute walk away and a rear patio with garden furniture. With Tanygrisiau Reservoir and Steam Train Station nearby, Ty Kate is a terrific base for your romantic retreat.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double (accessed from one side only), 1 x child's single (suitable for age 2-17 years). Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner.

Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops 1.1 miles, pub 8 mins walk. Note: Child's single bed is 5'9" long. Note: There is no room for a cot in the bedrooms. Note: Patio is accessed by 5 steps. Note: This cottage is situated next to a steam railway line, some associated noise maybe heard.

Around and About

Tanygrisiau was famous for its slate mining, producing a high quality black slate that was used across the world. Its railway station is on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, a narrow gauge railway built to carry slate from the mines down to the sea at Porthmadog, today it is a renowned tourist attraction.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
