Meander around Trawsfynydd village, where you will find a small selection of shops and a hotel with a bar, as well as the impressive Llyn Trawsfynydd, boasting opportunities for birdwatching, canoeing, kayaking and cycling. Those bringing two-wheels along, can look forward to exploring the Coed y Brenin Forest Park, Wales’ mountain bike mecca with a network of routes to suit all abilities and ages, with the captivating views of surrounding Snowdonia to enjoy along the way. Keen walkers will also find a magnitude of walking opportunities within the national park, including a hike up to the peak of Snowdon, Arenig Fawr with its WWII memorial and Rhinog Fawr with its small lake to admire. Alternatively, head to the coastline to find the beaches of Black Rock Sands, Harlech and Barmouth or spend an afternoon at the enchanting Italianate-style village of Portmeirion for a unique day out.
